Wow my EAD was approved today. Just checked uscis website 8.15pm and says card production ordered. My interview is on 09/14/07. Wow everthing is going on smoothly.GOD is GREAT.I am in phoenix AZ. .I filed my AOS and EAD at the same time. JUNE 1 2007, Was received JUNE 5 2007.

Oh, i just checked my email and saw on AUGUST 14 , BLAH, BLAH, U KNOW THE REST. CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED . Thanks for rejoicing with me. Yours will come sooner than u think.

Ok i dont want to get to over exited but our AOS was touched today 08/14/07 at the CSC, so im hopeing we will hear something soon, at least they apear to be looking at our file, no word yet on EAD or AP, we did send them off together, fingers crossed i will hear something soon

Congrats Now just wait for the "approval notice sent" LUD on the same website to know when they are sending out your card with the approval notice. All the best to us.

Hey guys,

What does a USC spouse needs to bring and show the Immigration Officer during the interview as evidence of citizenship?

My husband misplaced him passport and I doubt we'll be able to find his in time for the interview. However, we have his Birth Cert, Driver's Licence and Social Security card. Would this suffice?

You know, I was thinking about this; we met online and he visited me twice back home. Although, he had made copies of those entry stamps on his passport, that alone is no proof,right? I mean, photocopied pages of entry stamp can be obtained from anyone's (who's been to the same country) passport. I have never examined a US passport, but does it contain the owner's name on every page?

Since we'd like to show that he visited me in my country at the time of the interview, it sucks to not have the passport itself.

And... he doesn't have his boarding passes anymore. Arrrggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!

We received an RFE for the EAD last week. We sent it in certified USPS the next day, and now it appears as if the USPS might have lost our mail. It's been a week and still hasn't been delivered.

If you're keeping count, this is the 4th thing that the USPS had a problem either delivering to us or from us.

We had the same experience. It took them 18 days to recieve our mail. And it's only a few miles from were we live. We contacted USPS and was told it could take up to 30 days.

First, congrats on your AP! It was big news for us as well, as we're planning on having another marriage ceremony overseas in a few months.

Well, I threw my weight around with USPS and it seems to have helped. I called USPS on Sunday and was told that if a certified letter hasn't been received after 5 mailing days, you can start an inquiry into what happened to it. The person said that I needed to do it during the week, however, because the computers that process those inquiries are down during the weekend... or something to that effect.

So I called back yesterday morning and told USPS I wanted to start a formal inquiry into my apparently lost mail. I gave them my info and tracking # for the package and was told they'd call me back within a day to let me know what they've found.

As of yesterday morning, the status of the letter was "Accepted" at my local post office. Surprise, surprise, the letter was delivered to USCIS yesterday evening. I'm not sure if it was coincidental, but there's probably some chance that it was sitting on the floor of some post office and they didn't find it until I asked them to start looking for it.

Short version: If you send something certified and it's not delivered within 5 mailing days, call the USPS and ask to start an inquiry on it! I hope this helps someone!
