AOS & EAD June 2007 Filers

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got our interview date in the mail today!!!!! September 18th at 12pm!!!!!!!! I'm completely shocked! I honestly thought it would be hugely delayed because of our RFE! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!

Our Case was transferred to CSC on July 26 and I received a letter at the Status Online site and email about this with a follow up letter in the U.S. Mail. We had touches on 7/31-8/1 and 8/2 and I didn't see any change in the letter online and have not since received any other letters in the mail from USCIS.

I checked the Status Online site tonight and found a new letter........but no new touches since 8/2. It says that the Case has been transferred to a USCIS Office for STANDARD PROCESSING and they will let us know when a decision has been made.......etc. etc. but it does not state the office location.

Should I assume that it is still at CSC or has it been transferred to a Local Office? I'm not sure what to make of it.

Can they tell me if I call the Customer Service number?

hi Chuck D, don't worry much, if they don't see any problem with your papers (as what i've noticed if transferred to CSC it has no problem), anytime soon you'll recieve an email again for card production order and the next day is a welcome letter...

Just received an RFE for the EAD today.

We forgot to sign & date the form. I feel so stupid. Now worried that EAD will be delayed.

Its been 53 days since biometrics were done and nothing!! Should i be concerned????

For those who an RFE after you returned it how long did it take them to start processing you again? I am starting to get worried... We had an RFE for his Birth Certificate, took care of that and I have not seen a letter nor has our case been touched...I think this will be week 4 since they recieved it. Has it been long enough??

As you can see from our signature...we got a RFE for tax info...they started processing our case again within a week after they got back what they asked what for! 4 weeks is a bit too long but maybe due to the backlog of applications filed due to the fee increase. Although we havent heard anything since then.

I would maybe call them or make an InfoPass apppointment to find out whats happening with your case.

First of all, is that what the transfer means? No interview? I'm still baffled why many people here are congratulated when they're transferred.

Usually yes, a transfer means the case will be granted with no interview. That is a good thing because they don't have the hassle of bringing truckloads of more proof and evidence (joint bank accounts, joint insurance, joint housing proof, etc.) and be drilled with questions in an interview! I don't think anyone really knows why some people are transferred and why some people have an interview. Sometimes I imagine that maybe some local offices have too much backlog and so the file is transferred to CSC without an interview. Sometimes I think maybe the transfer cases are more clear cut, with more evidence, and so an in-person interview is deemed unnecessary. Or, maybe some more proof is needed and they schedule an interview instead of RFE to give a chance for that proof to be shown.

However this is all my imagination!

This means for those of us whose cases have been transferred to CSC in August, we can expect to wait another 7 or 8 months before our case is even looked at?
