AOS & EAD June 2007 Filers

looks like we've joined the RFE Club. received two RFE letters for our daughter's AOS apllication. I guess I misinterpreted the instructions for the I-864. on page 3 I thought supporting documents would not be needed for our daughter's I-864. one letter asks for copy of tax return and W-2's. no big deal, just make copies and submit.

what gets me, the other states that my Federal Income Tax Return shows me below the 125% poverty level, which is totally wrong,. asks for documents to support the income reported on the I-864 which would be sufficient for the income level. asks for six months paycheck stubs. my pay is divided into five departments so receive ten stubs each month, doubt I'll be able to find them all. Letter from employer will be no big deal.

just venting coz this is a little frustrating....

My husband got a nice present on his birthday last Friday... Our case was transferred to CSC on 7/24/07 !!!

It was touched again on 7/28 and pending at CSC.

Congrats. looks like no interview will be needed.

Wow what a frustrating delay, sorry about that Roy and Yazi. Why do they keep asking people to resubmit things already submitted, and more proof when it's obviously not needed. Doesn't sound too efficient to me.

Hi Roy and Yazi, sorry about your situation. I noticed in your timeline that you have an Interview scheduled. So did you get RFEs after getting your interview letter????

the RFE's are for our daughter's AOS. so far, everything has been going fine with my wife's AOS.

this is what instructions say on page 3 of I-864...

Often a spouse or minor children obtain visas or adjust status as dependents of a relative, based on the same visa petition. If you are sponsoring such dependents, you only need to provide a photocopy of the original Form I-864, as long as these dependents are immigrating at the same time as the principal immigrant or within six months of the time he or she immigrates to the United States. You do not need to provide copies of the supporting documents for each of the photocopied Forms I-864.

I have a question for everyone. I am planning to go to a jobfair this week but i am just wondering does anybody has an idea when can you get your EAD after biometrics. My biometrics schedule is on August 18, 2007. I am hoping i can get my EAD 2-3 weeks after my biometrics. Am i right?

You sent in the EAD application along with the AOS right? Usually the EAD comes within about 8-12 weeks after the NOA1, but there are occasions when it comes faster or slower, no telling. However since your biometrics is so late and already you got a transfer to CSC, I would say there is a very good chance you could get your EAD within a month after your biometrics. Good luck to get the EAD ASAP and good luck at the job fair!

I had my biometrics done June 18th which was transfered on May 30th and pending @ CSC since June 5th and i'm still waiting.

Getting your EAD 2-3 weeks after your biometrics isnt guaranteed, it normally takes closer to the 90 days but there are a few people that do get their's alot faster, maybe you might be one of the lucky one's. Good Luck!!

Question..when your Biometrics were scheduled did they automatically give you a day or did you have to schedule an apointment?

You will receive a letter with an automatically schedule appointment. You have the option to re-schedule it if the date is not convenient for you.

Edit: If you filed after July 25th you are likely to be an August filer. Your NOA date is what will decide what month filer you are.
