I have a question - if the AOS & EAD were submitted at the same time, and we get an RFE for the AOS, will the EAD still move forward, or are they both put on hold?

Can somebody answer this question since I wanna know this too

Hi, I got REF for AOS, but they stop my EAD and AOS for a long time!! I was getting so frustrated... But this week I received my interview letter for AOS and a notice that they ordered production of my EAD. :)

We got out Biometrics (AOS and EAD) letter today kicking.gif ! ...Our appointment is on July 13th at 11AM at the Alexandria branch in VA .Biometrics letter was dated June 20, 2007.

Kayz! Dalawa tayo!

I too received my biometrics letter in the mail: July 13, 2007 (Friday the 13th, gulp*) at 2:00 P.M.

Now, my only mission is to figure out *how to get to the ASC in Alexandria! We don't have a car yet and hope that the Metro has a stop close by.

Congrats sa iyo! ^_^

If only your appointment time is the same as ours, I won't mind you guys riding with us to go there. :) ..

** The next set of information is a little bit off topic and I know I should have PM'd you but I decided to post it here na lang so other fellow vjer's who will have their biometrics at the Alexandria branch and does not have a car to get there can use this as their reference too...

As far as I know, The ASC in Alexandria,VA is along the metro bus route.Take the Richmond Xpress (REX) bus service either from Eisenhower,Huntington or King St metro and get off at a stop between Richmond Hwy and Old Mill road. You need to walk up north for a little bit and the office should be on your right side.It has a decent sized parking lot but the space inside the office is small. It has been over a year since the last time I went there so they might have change things a bit.

Goodluck ! :)

Hello everybody!!! I filed the documents for AOS on June 16th and they were delivered on June 18th (I actually received a confirmation signed by Thomas Berthold that my package was received). However I'm getting more and more nervous (I would say paranoid :) because I naven't received my NOA yet. Looking through timelines of other people I noticed that most of them received their NOAs in 7-8 days. My hubby says that I'm too impatient, I hope he is right...

The timelines here show the receipt dates that are actually printed on the NOAs... which is not the same day people receive them in the mail - that's usually a few days later. So I wouldn't worry just yet... have your checks been cashed?

I also was getting alittle impatient when my wife didn't receive her NOA in what normally seems to be 6 to 10 days.

her application arrived June 11th. yesterday she received the notice in the mail with an NOA date of June 22nd.

don't worry too much about it at this point. give it some more time...

They cashed my checks. :) I see the 13 digit number on the back of each check but I'm getting an error when I try to put it into my USCIS case status portfolio... I double checked it and I'm typing it in right... I guess it's not in the system yet? Or am I looking on the wrong website? https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

The numbers on the checks might not be the right ones (mine weren't... the numbers on the checks were very clear but turned out not to be the ones on my NOAs - those were a bit further along in the sequence, basically... numbers on checks were MSCxxxxxxxx56, 57 & 58, the numbers on the NOAs are MSCxxxxxxxx59, 62 & 63) but whether they are or not, it can take a few days for the receipt numbers to bring anything up in the system - seems like lots of people have that trouble. I managed to get a nice man at USCIS to confirm my receipt numbers for me before I actually got the NOAs, but they didn't start 'working' on the system until the day the NOAs arrived, if I remember right.... so yup, I think they're just slow at updating everything in the system. Just like they're slow at everything else! :)

They don't send out emails to notify you of "just" a touch. Also, you won't learn about your biometrics appointment or interview via email. Those notices will just show up in the mail. The only times you get an email is when they sent you an RFE or approved your case.

Good luck to all of you.
