Thanks, y'all. We're so relieved. It was so stressful just waiting and waiting. I think I'm the last one... on this group. Now, just a wee bit nervous for the interview. We didn't have a "proper" wedding; it was just in front of the New York City clerk. So, we don't have that many photos. But, we intend to go back to the Philippines to have a proper "BIG" wedding.

Just wanting to check in. The June 2007 thread is slowly dying... But I think I'm one of the the last ones in this group. I'm getting anxious for the interview. How long do these things typically take? Also, do they ask for your social security card?

Usually they only ask for the passport or ID/Driving license card, plus of course the relationship proof paperwork. They asked us for our marriage certificate too, they said it wasn't in the AOS file! (Of course it was!) Just bring ALL the paperwork you ever gave for any part of the visa process (just in case), and you should be fine!

Usually the interview only takes from 10-20 minutes.

I had my interview today, and I am writing you for the first time as a Legal Permanent Resident! WHOOO HOOO!. My interview was absolutely painless, and the IO was superb. Officer Burton, was a highly professional young guy, who was probablly my age. 31. I will let my better half write the interview experience as she was more concious than I was!

YAY!!!!! I am so happy right now.

Officer Burton stamped my passport with a temporary 1 year greencard! I couldn't believe it!

The interview experience will come up shortly.

Absolutely, ELW. I was flabbergasted when he took it out! He was great. Really put as at ease, and was a swell guy. He even said "Congratulations, and enjoy!!". My prayers were answered. We're writing the review up now.

Thank everyone in June Filers (who still check this, of course. LOL. Everyone seems to have abandoned ship!).

To top it all off... my birthday is on Saturday, and this is one of the best presents... E V A H! Not to mention, today was a gorgeous day to boot!
