Hello everyone,

My visa was issued and I'm hoping to receive my passport back next week. My husband was living in a rented apartement for the past years. He just got a new apartment recently. I want to update my address with USCIS so that the green card is delivered to our new place. Really appreciate if any of you could guide me how and where to update it.

@missileman Thank you so much! You always help me out.

I haven't travelled to the US yet. I plan to travel on the 9th of July. I am waiting to recieve my passport back before booking the flight. Do I have to be in the US before changing it? Since I already have been issued the visa, I don't think I should choose pending case as an option. But when I choose no, it asks me to choose what I am in the US as. What should I put there? Please correct me if I am wrong!

I would choose no.  You could then choose "Other" and type K-1.......that's how I would do it..

I posted earlier asking how to change my address with USCIS. Filled out Form AR-11 online and submitted about 3 weeks back. But as I log into my USCIS account it still hasn't updated my address and has my old address on it. Should I ask my husband to take an info pass appointment and submit a letter for address change? I just want to make sure we don't have anymore problems.

When my change of address didn't go through I just gave them a call. I didn't have a pending application anymore at the time, since my visa was approved already, but she was very helpful explaining everything, so I would just give that a try

Did calling help? Your green card got delivered to your new address?

Again, I did not have a pending case anymore at the time so they just told me to put the new address on the gc application, but even if you want to make an info pass appointment you have to call. So just give m a call, inform them of what you sent and your pending case number and they will (usually) take a look for you and help you out.

Appreciate your response! I'll do that on Monday. Thank you very much!

For the website you edit the address yourself. It's your profile.

Also when I changed my address for my N400 application it was never changed in their system. At my interview I asked which address she has on her file and she only saw the very first one. I also almost missed my Green card even though I changed the address online it was sent to an old address.

I tried changing it online. Takes me to a blank page whenever I try to go to my profile or edit mailing address. My Visa's issued. Just want to make sure the green card gets delivered to our current address.
