The wait is driving me crazy. My PD is 3rd June and I still haven't heard anything except the last status of "fingerprint review completed". We didn't apply concurrently. Could applying i-130 and i-485 separately cause delays?

Expand

I had heard it can slow things, BUT my I-130 was filed in January (when I still lived in England and we were planning on going down the spousal visa route), and my I-485 in June (NOA June 14th) and my interview has been scheduled for October 22nd. So, at least in my case, it does not appear to have caused any delay so far.

Well I have heard that even concurrently takes longer because the family member has been living in the U.S., but who knows, I came to the U.S. with a fiance visa and I believe all depends on the field office workload, so be patient, it can change unexpectedly :)

Yes, hoping for the best us what keeps me going 😊

What drives me crazy is the fact that someone way before me has still seen no movement. Wonder how they prioritize cases 😁

Well that is the big question! I have a friend on here who has the same NOA date as I do and hers has still not updated to ready to schedule for interview. We are from the same country, and live in the same state. She came on K1 and I came on VWP. Both adjusting through marriage.

I truly think it is pot luck and really just depends whose desk your case lands on. Just my opinion, I have nothing to back that up! But nothing else makes sense to me.

I submitted my expedite request on Friday and they haven't asked for evidence yet. I do see the ticket number on my case status. I hope they approve it without asking for evidence.

I hope so too! I submitted an expedite request today.

I submitted a EAD expedite request in early July, forwarded information a week after and it still sits with no decision, over two months later.

Thank you! Might be worth a shot

Hi guys. Crossposted this from the EAD thread. Maybe someone has had the same experience and could shine some light on my case. Biometrics done 7/16 and last update was that they fingerprint review was successful as of 7/26.

Called my congressman’s office to help me expedite my EAD as I received a job offer. Inquiry was made 9/13.

USCIS emailed back saying “A review of our systems shows your constituent’s case was recently received on 07/01/2019, and is currently undergoing front-end processing at the NBC.  Interim benefits, such as those applied for on Forms I-765 or I-131, are unable to be expedited until that process is complete. Please follow up in 30 days for a status update and an expedited review.”

What exactly is the front end process? Should the I-485 be reviewed first before allowing an expedite request? I thought that I can expedite once biometrics are done. My latest update on the EAD shows 7/26, fingerprints reviewed. Would there be a possible workaround
