June 2019 AOS Filers

Hey, guys.

Our I-485 status was changed to "Interview was scheduled" on Sep 17. It says they will mail us an interview notice. However, we haven't received yet.

I think it would be arrived soon. But, the problem is we are planning to move to another state in mid-October or late-October.

Some people say that the interview would be scheduled in 4-5 weeks from the status is changed.

Do you guys think the interview was scheduled in October? or November?

Thanks,

Congratulations 🎉 The interview notice should arrive within a week, however I saw for some people it took a little bit longer. They usually schedule the interview in a month or so. You can look for timelines of other filers from the same office as yours, maybe it would give a hint when the interview is scheduled.
Honestly I'd strongly recommend to wait until you receive your green card, since no one can say how much your moving to another state would delay the process.

Spoke to uscis Via ask Emma and they said my case is still at nbc and normal processing is 6.5-12.5 months but couldn’t tell me anything else, wouldn’t answer if they process according to noa1 dates. Did ask for my phone number and email again!!

I wonder how long the application stays at the NVC once they update status to show case is ready for the interview. It'd be interesting to be able to see just how long the applications just sit for months on end at the local field offices.

June 2019 filer and our status changed to Ready to be scheduled on September 10th. Now begins the fun wait! I am in Montgomery, AL so I assume that is where the office is, but with the redistribution it could also be Atlanta. Either way, I am settling down and finding new shows to watch cause this might take a while :) Good luck everyone.

Hey there! We're in Birmingham, AL so our field office is Montgomery as well :) We filed on June 18th and status changed to "ready to be scheduled" on August 29th. Here's hoping things are going smoothly in our field office ❤️

Interesting to see so many Alabamians here today. We swapped over to ready for our interview on September 19. Any idea how long of a wait?

We received the "Interview Scheduled" message on the 17th. The letter showed up on USPS informed delivery for arrival today.

Finally done...

I have seen only one redistribution case being reported a few days ago.  It was out of Miami.   I hope to see more soon as we are still looking at 8 more months in Minneapolis

There was one reported today in upstate New York. They now have a six hour drive to their interview. To get the GC earlier I would travel....
