Hi everyone! I have been checking out this forum since I sent off my paperwork in late May. My status has been changed to "Ready To Schedule Interview," which makes me both excited and anxious. Reading this forum has helped me out so much, specially with a lot of us feeling the same way, and it helps me not feeling so alone in this whole process.  Anyways, I have a question which might be kind of silly. My husband and I will have been married for two years in April 2020, if we get our interview before that, do we have to go through the whole process again, and pay the thousands of dollars for all the paper work again to remove conditions? Does anyone know how much it'd cost? I am aware that the interview could be a year for now, but with my husband being in the Air Force, sometimes they expedite the process in case he gets orders, so I'd rather know so I can start saving up NOW.

Thank you for your help!!!!!

hi we are from atlanta as well. we did the biometric back in july too. we got an RFE for birth certificate which is weird. hope you guys hear something soon. call them to follow as well

I'm from Atlanta as well. They received my RFE response on Aug 13, my status is still the same, "RFE was received" I was told by the USCIS Agent via live chat that I am still in normal processing time. 8-20 months for Atlanta😅 I should wait. Which is annoying because I know some people who filed after me have got their interviews scheduled. But every case is different. Let's hang it here and hope we hear soom from them!

Honestly I wouldn't care as much about the long Green card wait if the EAD processing was more reasonable. Really hoping that those of us that don't get AOS interviews within the next few months, at least get the EAD/AP card.

I so agree with this. I'm in SoCal and I need to sit tight because it could take up to 22 months. I'm definitely looking forward to the EAD instead.

In theory it could, but in practice AOS from a K-1 is almost always a bit faster than the lower end of the range for family-based AOS at your field office. Ours was scheduled for 5.5 months from our NOA1 date in San Diego, which is prime range for the "EAD/AP approved after AOS interview is scheduled" territory. That's what happened for us (April 2019/San Diego) and @Shiran  (March 2019/San Diego) from so don't be surprised if it's that way for you too.

The low date for I-485 is when 50% of the application are processed (doesn't mean approved) and I think upper is when 93% are approved. So yes, half of the people see approval before the first date.

Hi everyone, I want to print some pictures to show at the interview ( when it happens) but I'm unsure if it's ok I print them on normal paper or it has to be on photo paper.  What are your thoughts on this?

I think normal paper is fine, as long as the photos are clear.

It's for the interview, not for someone's photo album, so I'd go with normal paper; it's a lot easier to add captions to the pictures (noting who's in them and when and where it is) that way. That's what we're doing, anyway.
