My current status is still the same since Aug 13, "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received". Is there any of my fellow June 2019 fillers live in Atlanta? or did the biometric at USCIS Atlanta office?

Mine status changed for “ready to be schedule for an interview” on August 5,  but looks like after that it can take weeks till months until actually change for “interview schedule” so, here we are waiting and waiting hopping good news, and wishing all good luck in their process too! 😊

Hey! My case was received on June 24, but got NOA on July 16. However when I check my case my AP says they received my case on June 24.

The last update was August 2, fingerprint review was completed. Nothing since then :(

Same here... dates are a little different but nothing since fingerprint review either.  Best of luck!

Hey everyone!

I received my RFE in the mail and I'm a bit confused, so I'm asking for your help!

My RFE mentions that in my Affidavit of support, my sponsor (which is my husband) has to submit his tax returns papers for the most recent year.

My husband worked the same job during the entirety of 2018 and is not self-employed, so I sent his 2018 (along with 2017, just to make sure) W-2 from said job.

Back when I filled for the affidavit of support for the K-1 Visa, I was able to provide summaries of W-2 without any issues, so I did the same because they accepted it without any problems in the past. Is that my mistake? Is sending the W-2 summary not enough? I don't really understand tax forms in the US and I'm always the one filing for everything, so I most likely messed up somewhere.

Unless there's something else I'm missing, I don't really know what to send them back except a complete version of the W-2?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe they want you to  send the tax transcripts? I'd also send 2016 taxes( just in case).

I got the same, but in my case, i only submitted 2017 and prior at the time of my I-485 filing and didnt file 2018 taxes yet.. so in my RFE, i just sent them my 2018 1040 form and other tax related paperwork.

I'll submit those as well! Better safe than sorry, I'd rather give more evidence than not enough. I had the 1040 for 2017, but not 2018, so I'll harass my husband to provide me with these forms as soon as possible, haha!

Thanks for your help!

You can get the transcripts online on the IRS website instantly. I'd say send those in along with the W2s again.

USCIS is very clear on the fact they want the tax forms (1040) with all attached schedules (W-2s, 1099s, etc) OR the tax transcript. Sending both is overkill, but if you send your tax form and it is missing any schedules you will get an RFE.

A W-2 alone is not sufficient the Affidavit of Support. I always recommend using the tax transcript(s) because a) its less paper b) you don't have to include any other documentation and c) it proves you filed your taxes.

I received RFE to submit current tax return. (me being the petitioner/sponsor)

I replied to RFE with my 2018 tax return, copy of RFE letter, and USCIS recieved it last friday 9/6/2019

I think, I needed to send in my tax transcript as well? if thats the case, I forgot to do that,

so i can still send in another mail with my RFE copy letter, 2018 tax return and 2018 tax transcript again to USCIS?

please let me know, im kinda worried now...

Thanks for the help! Seems like I have to do more digging and be more insistant, because when I asked my husband for all of his tax papers when filling for the AOS originally, he only gave me the W-2, and said that "he couldn't find the rest".

Ugh, seems like you can only rely on yourself in these cases!
