Hi! So happy for you. Can you tell us when did you send your package?

I sent mine on June 22nd, they received it on June 24th. I am just trying to see the pattern here. So far I can tell that people who filed late May - early/mid June are getting such updates.

We sent our packet on the 4th June and they received it on the 5th, so it’s the early June :)

so got my physical RFE letter. they need my latest or current year tax return form (petitioner) which I didn't submit at the time.

will be sending it back on Monday. any estimate on ETA, when they might process? timeline for interview step?

has anyone got the interviews done / attended. assume, the actual wait is after interviews before anyone gets the physical GC? and work authorization/SSN?

A quick question!

Can I fly within the United States while waiting for my AOS?

Do I need my passport? Do they ask any questions?

You can fly inside  the usa without  any problems,  just don't  leave  the  country

Clothes, jk. You can wear anything, no one cares for biometrics, you can even wear shorts.

Thanks. In my country Philippines when it says Goverment offices or goverment RELATED offices, you can't wear shorts & sleeveless. Really different here in the United states, definitely you can wear anything. Lol. Just sharing.

Anyways, what's the next step after biometrics?

Next step will be waiting for the interview scheduled.

When interview date is scheduled, USCIS will send you a notification with the interview date and location :)

Hi everyone!

I've been lurking for a bit, might as well share my timeline as well!

Sent AOS along with EAD petitions on June 27th. NOA 1 is July 1st, had biometrics on August 1st at the Seattle office. Now comes the long wait!

I originally came to the US on a K-1 Visa, hopefully karma will be a bit more on my side this time around!

(My I-129F took an extremely long time to get approved without any RFEs, so I'm crossing my fingers for this one!)

I have a question! If my husband were to move to another state while waiting for the green card, will my case be moved to the corresponding office of that state? Would it delay my case?

We're thinking about moving to Raleigh, NC in the future so we can be closer to my husband's family, so I don't know if it has any impact on my current procedures.

Thank you and good luck to everyone!

If you move, make sure you change your address with enough time in advance. During my k1 my now husband moved to a different city in the same county and took about a month to process the address change. The form is called AR-11.

I traveled on July (aos still pending). Make sure to take your passport, copy of noas, biometrics with stamp and marriage certificate. I didn't take any of this, only my marriage certificate, because I submitted my application that same week, but a TSA officer told me it was important to carry those. I was also asked if I was alone or traveling with someone.

Don't leave the US though!!

Welcome! The above advice is useful. Also, it shouldn't hold you up, but you'll have to wait the new processing time for the new office, which could be less time than originally. Check it here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

You can fly within the States with no issues. We flew to another state and back just last week with no issues with my passport. I had our copies marriage certificate and NOA with just in case but nothing was ever asked.

Confused and upset!!  This is what USCIS sent us this morning.  Nowhere on the email does it say where or how we send our proof!!  Did anyone else get a reply like this???

The status of this service request is:

Due to the high volume of expedite requests for this case type, we are strictly enforcing the criteria that has been set for these expedite requests. While your  situation appears serious, you have not provided evidence of an extreme emergent need.

Thanks to everyone, who responded ❤️

We just booked a flight to Nashville, so it’s within the US 😁 I used my maiden name for the passengers information as it stated that I have to use the same name as on my travel photo ID, even though I applied for AOS with my married name. I’ll for sure bring all the other useful papers with me. I usually have them around even when I go out just in case 😂

Thank you so much! So if we do move out I can be assured that the case follows us as long as we notify them of the address change :)

Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for EAD expedite requests to be denied outright because the initial request was deemed to either not meet the requirements or to not be serious enough. The email you got is a default denial given in response to expedites and is not specific to your case (or even EADs).

What reasons did you give when making the initial phone call requesting an expedite? Do you have a job offer letter?
