We got our RFE letter in the mail ~ birth certificate issue. In Korea they have a birth certificate and a family kinship certificate and I guess I only sent one for my husband ~🥺 oh well. Everything is going out in the mail today 🤞

USCIS sent me a notification email about RFE for I-485. Hoping all they need is my birth certificate.

Does anyone know if the birth certificate is required for I-765 too or is it required for just I-485? I'm hoping to expedite my EAD as soon as I get a job offer.

Ive seen people here sending a copy with every form in their package. However, I couldn't find information on the USCIS regarding that. So, who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

Personally I included birth certificate for all three forms. In the instructions it says:

“Provide your full legal name as shown on your birth certificate or
legal change of name document in the spaces provided.”

as well as

“3. You must submit the following documents.
B. A copy of your last EAD (front and back). If you were not previously issued an EAD, you must submit a copy of a government-issued identity document (such as a passport) showing your picture, name, and date of birth; a birth certificate with photo ID; a visa issued by a foreign consulate; or a national ID document with photo and/or fingerprint. The identity document photocopy must clearly show your facial features and contain your biographical information.”

I included my passport ID page and US visa too, alongside my marriage certificate to show my name change for each form. I only submitted my birth certificate with the I-485.

My last update was 'Fingerprint review was completed' on July the 9th.

So June filers any of you have your interview scheduled yet? My noa1 June 14, biometrics July 8th still on “fingerprint review was completed” since July 9th

Our NOA1 was June 10 and biometrics was July 9th, and it updated to "fingerprint review was completed" a day later. I know it's too soon to expect to have our interview scheduled, but I can't help checking every day.

We received the same RFIE. We sent both documents with our first packet but the translation of the document was titled “identity Certificate” and I guess it was rejected. We got the document translated again and had them title it “Basic Certificate” here in Los Angeles. My wife had it translated in Korea before coming to the States. We guessed that is why it was rejected but not sure. If that is the case, then it is pretty ridiculous. We sent it out this morning. We’ve got our fingers crossed as well. Good luck to the both of us.

I think it's silly because, I know for ours, it was the same that we sent for the k1 ~ the saaaaame documents sent in all over again 🙄
