I really hope it's the cheetah processing speeds. Next thing you know, we'll all have green cards by February 🤣.

Check this thread. I really don't know if I encountered with someone unhelpful but she told me I needed the EAD to get the license.

I went to DMV to apply for Real ID and learners permit after submitting AOS. They didn't accept my application because my i94 will expire on August 8. It should be 60 days before the expiration to apply. The guy in the dmv office said that I need a document that proves my extension/date of extension. I told him that I just submitted an adjustment of status and work permit and asked him if he will accept a Notice from USCIS and he said that it has to have a date/proof for extension of my status. Work permit is acceptable.

What site can I track my case?

Sorry, just to confirm, they didn’t accept your noa1 from AOS and told you to wait until EAD

I’m planning to go to dmv office this week and ask them, but honestly don’t know what to expect.

Congratulations ...happy to hear that they expedited the process in six days ...could you please help to provide me the details of wat u sent wit  job offer letter ? Did you signed it ? Or it was jus an offer letter...I m asking this bcz I hav a question that wat if i hav a job offer letter from a company bt later wat if i decided not to join tht company which provided me offer lettrr n go wit some other company?

The job offer was only that, an offer from an employer, but in reality my medical emergency was the main thing. I was in the urgency to get medical insurance or to be able to pay out of pocket.

I asked if they would accept a notice from i485 that I just submitted, and they said yes as long as it has a date/proof of my extension since my i94 will expire soon. I'm not sure if they would accept the i797c from i485 or i765.

Hey guys does anyone know the approximate time it takes for the i-765 employment authorization takes to come  ?  Or even how long the green card takes 😅 I'm really struggling with moving to the us personally, I feel kind of trapped , like I have no friends, I can't work or study, I can't do anything without someone else being available to drive me... It's hard. Also, is anyone else in New Hampshire?

You can get official estimates of processing times from the USCIS web site here https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ (use National Benefits Center as the processing center for the I-765 and I-131; for the I-485, find your local field office here https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices and use that; normally I'd recommend searching by zip code, but all of NH is at the Manchester field office).

Regarding documentation for drivers license. I talked to the DMV in Oklahoma and they said they couldn't accept the I-797 but would accept the EAD once I have it, since I would then be able to have an SSN

Just a heads up. Im also in Oklahoma, and when I went to the DMV they told me the same, they can't issue a DL with K-1. However, they also told me that I can drive with my foreign license while I wait for the EAD, maybe you can try to ask them too but I saw another post here in VJ where they told them the same than me. Good luck!

Thanks 😊 unfortunately I don't have a drivers license of any kind - never had a car before!! So I have to wait so I can get a learners permit and do drivers ed and eventually get a license!! 😂
