Nothing yet, I am a little anxious because the mail just came today and there is nothing from USCIS. I think that RFEs should be sent by email as well, because for example my NOA letter's were never received, I don't know if the post office lost them, and now if the RFE letter doesn't show up what am I suppose to do?  :( frustrating

Sorry to hear that. Have you checked whether your name is on the mail box? I heard that it can be the solution of those lost mails. I also read in some threads here that some people got their RFE by fax but I honestly don't remember exactly how they did, I guess you should call USCIS for that. Since it's been only 3 days since your RFE (correct?) I'd probably just start with the mailbox :) I'm sure it's on the way.

Guys just got my biometrics appointment letter and I’m wondering if anyone was lucky to do a walk-in a week earlier than the date of the appointment?

If it matters, Buffalo, NY field office.

Also my notice says that the appointment is scheduled for 3pm but that the time the office closes, because it works 8-3. Is it ok or should I call USCIS about it?

Some people get turned away when they try to do a walk-in but it's worth the risk. I successfully walked in early, most people do. You should give it a go, if they say something about it just raise the concern that you were given an appointment time that doesn't exist. Good luck!

You could try walking in on an earlier day, but only if you are prepared to be turned away. As for going in earlier than 3 on the day of the appointment - you definitely should. The worst that would happen is you will have to wait. Possibly, you will be taken early, but even if you have to wait, you won't have to worry about when closing time is if you're already there.

Are you sending exactly the same document (original birth certificate and translation)? I saw so many people are getting RFE because of it and I just don't understand why.

Same exact documents, nothing has changed, my birth certificate is the same and the translation as well. I paid 60 dollars for the translation and I have used that agency 4 times for other documents. I don't understand either, it is like they ask again for it to confirm your identity or something.

Is there another US based company you can use just to be safe?

I really don't think it can be an issue. Are there any certain rules about the translation for uscis?

no as far as I know, I used this translation for my K1 visa and everything went well, so I will trust and send it again.
