We mailed our AOS and accompanying forms to the Chicago office on June 10th and USPS shows it arriving on June 13th but we still don't have notification of it having been received, the check hasn't been cashed, and we are very concerned.  We called USCIS to inquire and of course nothing was on record yet regarding the AOS and they put in an inquiry (that of course takes 15 days for a response).  Is this normal?  Am I being hyper sensitive again?

This whole process would make the most stoic person hyper-sensitive)))

Still havent received her ssn yet. we applied back on the 13th of June. when we applied, my wife's arrival was not "uploaded" in SAVE.  we were told that the ss worker would keep track of when my wife's arrival was available in SAVE, then submit the application. We were handed a signed document stating the acknowledgement that  she applied for an ssn. this document included a reference #.

my wife called the ss office today, and they said the paperwork/application was submitted but is still pending and we will have to wait 3-6 more weeks to get the ss card

the downside. when i talked to HR today, they stated we have 30 days for the date we were married to add her to my insurance. but if we do not get her ssn by July 9th, she can not be added until Jan 2020.

any suggestions, comments, well wishes or hugs???

Are you government employee?

After 20 days i finnaly received my case number, did u all get the same as me? Is it weird to get the receipt number even though the check hasnt been cashed yet

It's a little different (I think) that the check hasn't been cashed yet and you have a case number already, but don't stress, that's great that you have a case number. Just keep an eye on that check money, it should process soon.

I am also going to mine soon. I'm bringing my passport, NOA1s, biometrics letter and marriage certificate. I'm sure some of this isn't required but I'm bringing them anyway because what's the harm? Marriage certificate is because of my changed last name which doesn't match my passport.

If you applied for AOS in your married name, bring the marriage certificate.

Also be prepared to leave any bags/purse outside the ASC. My ASC was super strict about that.

They approved the work permit and i-485 and got the reciept numbers but theres an issue with the advance parole , i forgot to sign so they returned it , but here it says that the fee is incorrect , we sent them a check with 1225 dolars.

If thats not the correct fee then what is it

give them a call, there is something wrong on their side, most likely they see it as a stand alone request and not the combo, and also signed the petition and send it back with your case # , but no more money.

Since you didn't sign it, they returned it back to you (probably also got confused with the payment). I would say after  you sign the form, just send it back with your NOA1 from AOS, so they will see that you don't have to pay the fee for AP.

For just a K1 and no K2's it's $1225 including the biometrics fee ($1140 + $85 biometrics).

We filed on June 20th, USPS delivered on 22nd. On text receipt from USCIS we received last night says they got my packet on 24th. Check has been cashed this morning. I applied for SSN along with with forms. Am I gonna receive the SSC before AP/EAD or at the same time?

That was very quick, congrats. SSN will come around the same time as EAD. On the USCIS website it says:

"You should receive your SSN card no later than 7 business days after you receive your EAD from USCIS."
