It’s not bizarre! You’ll receive the approval letter and the next status will be “your card was mailed” and “your card was picked up by USPS” (not everyone get the last status but I just got it today, the day before my card should be delivered). Congratulations!

How long does it usually take to receive the card after the status changes to "Case is approved"? For EAD.

Keep us posted ~ I will have to reach out again on Friday as the 30 days for our inquiry will have passed and we still haven't heard anything

I will. Please you too. I wish you have an answer and end this waiting

Oh it’s just for EAD. I will always suggest an expedite request as it’s formal and you will most of the time get a usual “still in process” answer if you only call them. Also, depending on the state you filed from , you might be lucky to “miraculously” get an interview date for AOS instead of just an EAD you requested. No miracles in Houston,Texas though 😎

What's the regular time frame for houston field office between when they update your AOS to the interview ready to schedule phase and To receiving the actual interview scheduled date?  We've been waiting since sept 5 to receive the interview date

Right now they are taking about 9-10 months after submitting everything. Which has been pretty fast  considering the processing time on the USCIS site shows a longer time frame.

I’ve been waiting since 4th of September, 77 days today. And to be honest , I’m not expecting the interview to be scheduled anytime before April 2020. So, my popcorn 🍿 bowl for the waiting marathon movies until then is  filled to the brim !😊

How to find out if you have informed delivery active? If you do not have, how do you opt for it and do they charge for informed delivery?

Go to https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action and sign up.  It's free.  Also make sure to check the notification options in the informed delivery site (a bell icon next to the word "settings".

I’ve started gathering everything and I’d like to say that I probably have my packet 70% ready. I’m waiting for some papers from the insurance companies and grabbing every bit of correspondence in our names. I’m working on a scrapbook with pictures, boarding passes, and some cards I have. I know that’s not necessary at all but the scrapbook work helps with the anxiety.

Ohh, a scrapbook seems like such a good idea, honestly, if only to take your mind off things. I just finalized everything today. It's so much work to ensure that you've got everything, I wish I started right from when we got married! LOL

I received text notification that I had a case status update this morning. I checked the old website (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus) and saw that my I-765 status changed to "New Card is Being Produced". I don't see it updated on the new site (https://my.uscis.gov/account/). Also, no change to my I-485 since the interview, the status still says "Interview was Scheduled".
