Made an inquiry today about my RFE. Never got the update RFE received since we sent the response in September 17th. They said wait another 30days (after the 60 I already waited to make the inquiry) for an answer. Hopefully some good news will come soon.

I’ll suggest you contact them again 100 days after your biometric. You will most likely get  a response or see changes afterwards.Any changes before that is rare these days in most field offices, especially NBC.

Hi! May I ask about the suggestion of contacting them 100 days after biometrics, if it's for the I-485 or for the EAD part only?

We submitted in July, it's still in NBC now, no progress to the next step "ready to schedule" yet, kind of concerned.

Oh it’s just for EAD. I will always suggest an expedite request as it’s formal and you will most of the time get a usual “still in process” answer if you only call them. Also, depending on the state you filed from , you might be lucky to “miraculously” get an interview date for AOS instead of just an EAD you requested. No miracles in Houston,Texas though 😎

Mine too! EAD status changed today to "New Card Is Being Producted" !! Sooooo happy! Considering being in Manhattan where GC interview times are crazy high, I'm so relieved I can start working again and visit my family back home!

Thank you all for your support through this painful journey! This isn't the end but very relieved for now :)

Congrats! Mine is a month later than you.. In Manhattan too. Going crazyyyy already :(

Hope mine comes soon too..

I completely understand how you feel, I had been going crazy for so long and nothing anyone says will make you feel much better, just know that it will end soon and you'll be super happy, just get through this difficult time somehow!

Maybe we can hangout in Manhattan!

Yeah.. I have a job offer that has been waiting since August. I don't know how much longer they're going to be waiting. Lets just hope they get through the EAD cases quickly.

Since I don't have a EAD, I'm free all the time for a quick catch-up! :)

Keep us posted ~ I will have to reach out again on Friday as the 30 days for our inquiry will have passed and we still haven't heard anything

Thanks for your kind explanation. I'm working with H-1B visa now, so I have no reason to expedite the EAD...I'm more concerned with the I-485 process, it's been stuck in NBC for 4 months.

Did anyone receive their GC after their interview? Did you have to submit an I-693, even though you provided the DS-3025?

We were not asked for either form at our interview. GC received 11-6.

Finally done...

I'm happy you got the approval! When I got my EAD/AP combo card, I had only been approved for one of them online. You will most likely be expecting the combo card for EAD/AP in the mail. The SSN should arrive a few weeks after the EAD/AP card arrives.

I got another update this morning. AP approved yesterday. But the status for EAD changed from "New card being produced" to "Case is approved". Kinda weird with the order in which the status came. So I guess I will get a combo card for EAD and AP.

After getting the combo card in hand, doi need to visit the social security office for my SSN card? And in how many days do they usually send the combo card?

Also, do I need to have a social security card to start working or EAD card is enough?

Woohoo! Great news. With your application did you request a SSN? If so, it will arrive within a few weeks after your card arrives. If you didn't request one, you'll need to go into a social security office and apply for one. You will need a SSN to work.

If you have informed delivery, there are notification options for when a "package" first hits the system.  I don't think they are enabled by default.  I enabled them last week.  As soon as USPS picked ours up I got an email from informed delivery, with tracking number etc.  A couple of hours later, the old site updated to "USPS picked up" and where the tracking number should be it said UNAVAILABLE.  The new site updated with the same, but with tracking number, the day after we received the cards lol.

How to find out if you have informed delivery active? If you do not have, how do you opt for it and do they charge for informed delivery?
