Getting more and more nervous my interview is in 10 days. In addition to everything required our additional evidence is:

1.water bill in joint names

2. 3 bank accounts in joint names

3. Multiple photos of family events, trips together

4. Joint pension plan letter

5. Joint car loan

6. Car title in both names

7. Husband health insurance covering me

8. Bank letter English one addressed to me just in my name

9. Trip itineraries detailing we both went together

10. Phone bill showing my number on it too as it’s a phone plan my husband has

hope that’s enough as we only have one joint bill and we can’t add me to the mortgage cos we would have to remortgage

That sounds plenty, much more hard evidence than I had. Good luck!

I think that is plenty, especially considering your lack of SSN (my hubby is in the same boat).

A few extra things you may be able to add quickly/easily, if you're so inclined:

  • adding you as an authorized user on one of his credit cards (you can do so with CapitalOne WITHOUT an SSN)
  • mobile phone accounts/records/etc if it shows both of your phone numbers on it (even without names it can help corroborate your "joint" life together)
  • Power of Attorney (plenty of templates online, you'd just need to make one for both of you and have your signatures notarized)

Good luck tomorrow! I know y'all will be fine. I think I have a soft spot for all of the Aussie K1s though ❤️

Hi!

I hope you are doing fine.

What is this power of attorney about ...?

Thanks

Cata

That is a lot. From proof with both of our names we only had health insurance, joint amazon prime(which you can do still if you want), authorized credit card user , and a few photos. I also brought some screenshots of our texts and calls. It will be okay. I understand your nervousness but it will be okay. I'm sure after everything you'll ask yourself why. Good luck, keeping my fingers crossed.

Ead combo card never arrived

interview on October 30

approval on October 31

p.s: after the interview my status never changed until the day my card was collected by Usps , só for thoses in same situation try to use “ask Emma” it was very helpful.

i wish you all, who’s still waiting, to keep faith..and good luck..  for those who already receive any card:congratulations !!!

Yup. The chat is way to go if you don't get the info. My status didn't change until 30 minutes after I had my green card in hands. First it said "green card was delivered to me"... and funny enough day later it changed to "green card was mailed to me" and that's what it's stuck on now.. like I already don't know haha.

I just had my interview and was recommended for approval. It was really simple, they asked a lot of questions about how we met, what our wedding day was like and the timeline of our relationship. Got there at 8:50 and was there for 1.5 hours mostly waiting. It's over for a while! Good luck everyone.

I had my interview yesterday and status changed to "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed ".Is your application approved.

Officer told our application will be approved this week but we have this status now

My status hasn't changed from 'interview was scheduled'. I was told to wait 48 hours before any change would take place. I wouldn't stress, it's likely part of the process before your card is produced.

A power of attorney is what we commonly call: poder notariado o poder amplio.  It's a document that allows you but not limited to take financial decisions on behalf of the other person.

For some people it will change to approved right away and others anywhere from a week to several months.  My wife and daughter are in the latter group :(

IO told us it would be approved that afternoon.  That was 8 days ago.

The power of attorney gives you rights to do some legal actions on behalf of your spouse. I don’t think it’s necessary to obtain it but I have it for my husband since he is stuck in the military classes and we have to deal with some stuffs

A friend had her interview last week and she literally saw no updates until she got the approval letter and green card in hand. Maybe that's your case?

I hope so but another person that interviewed at same office, on the same day, got their card on Wednesday.  We have USPS informed delivery and nothing up to this day.

I just want some closure.  Wife isn't even worried.  Wish I could be that way.  If we don't get a SSN for our daughter by January, or whenever they ask for it, I won't be able to have her on my insurance.

Try not to stress (I know, easier said than done). Maybe you have a different officer dealing with your case, or maybe it's just later on in the pile of cases the officer needs to deal with. It's extremely likely you'll have your green card in the next month based on what happens with the majority of cases on here. Good luck!
