have my wife interview on 31st at San Bernardino, CA office.

anyone here had one at that location? how did that go?

also, at the interview, do they interview myself and my wife together? or separate?

getting all the paperwork ready and photos.

need good luck wishes!

I remember reading some reviews (good ones) from that office on VJ, so you definitely can find some :)

You never know how they are going to interview though. Some couples go together, while some are separated and interviewed one by one. Definitely do not worry about it, however I’d recommend to practice some basic questions especially ones including dates 😅 Good luck!

I have a theory about why my approvals happened quickly but it's likely not the case. I phoned USCIS and asked them a bunch of questions about how long I'd be allowed out of the country once I have my AP and explained to them that my mum is ill. I didn't ask any questions about expediting the process because I'd already accepted the fact that an expedite wasn't going to happen. I wonder if this phone call pushed things along, I have my doubts but I still wonder. A month after this phone call I got my interview scheduled and then my combo card.

I wondered the same thing when our I129 seemed to take a bit longer than others. Our status updated the next day, and our NOA2 was on it's way! Our AOS petition is taking a long time, with no updates since July 10th. We're calling this afternoon!

We are going to our interview on Thursday in Chicago.  Does anyone know what questions they may ask? I saw some sample questions, but I'm wondering what they may ask us at the interview in Chicago.

Well, I made a big mistake..... I misread the instructions and we did not think we needed to bring her minor daughter to the interview. The IO was very, very nice and apologized to us, but said we will need to be rescheduled and we will need to bring her daughter. Now, we are waiting for the new interview date 🤦‍♂️😩

I just did an expedite request, fingers crossed.  However, I’m not sure how’s it gonna be since the agent I talked too didn’t want to help me at all 😔 or even listen to why I wanted to get an expedite.  My husband is  a commission based employee and usually fall & winter aren’t good seasons for him. His paycheck decreases by hundreds every week. I don’t have a formal job offer because I’ve been declining every offer since I came here. I’m hopeful they’ll work on it and help me out lol

Possibly. Probably, even - but it's always worth a try!

We are going for the interview tomorrow. We don't have much evidence besides her being on my health insurance and a couple of utility bills. We had a difficult time with the SSA and verification so no SSN.  Blah...We will give it our best song and dance anyway))). I'll post back on what happens...

Yes, it is worth trying everything.  What bothers me is when people on VJ discourage people to request an expedite.  I say request away! All they can do is say no)))

Just to clear things up, I wasn't discouraging people to request an expedite. I was just sharing my experience and that I felt like my own circumstances didn't warrant an expedite (my mother is ill but not currently dying, if her condition worsened then I would have applied for one). Even if that's not what you meant, I also want people to know if they feel they have a chance at a successful expedite they should apply. It's true, all they can do is say no, no harm done.

If you want to provide more evidence you can ask your friends and family to write letters stating that they know both of you as a couple and your relationship. At least that’s what we did and our officer took them.

Also when my husband added me as an authorized user to credit cards, they didn’t ask for ssn.
