new in ds-160?

im not sure if thing already discuss here but is it true that when you file ds-160 you must provide your social media username?😲

It has been implemented for the DS260 (yesterday), so it is very possible that the DS160 also requires it. Good luck.

I saw it on facebook too.. and 2days ago i notice ds-160 had a notice that said they will be working on it from 4pm -11pm so it may not be available.  Guess thats when they edited it.

Why not? Have you said something derogatory about the US government? Are you following extremists or fascists? That’s all they are interested in. Not what you think of Kim Kardashian’s latest outfit or what you cooked for dinner last night.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if it will be used to isolate people who answer "None" or create DOS friendly alt accounts and then deny / ban them for lying under oath.

Perhaps derogatory is the wrong word. I mean something more along the lines of treason or threats. Similar to the questions that I had on the DS-260 concerning terrorism, etc.
