They never really explain the inner workings of the NVC. As far as calling is concerned, I just keep dialing until I get through. Sometimes its the first call, other times its the 30th or 40th call.

I resubmitted on the 16, just wait for my 3 weeks mark. My first submission took them 14 days to respond

Thanks, on the 7th,May, then on 24th, May we resubmitted some docs,they asked for.

So glad to hear this. I resubmitted on May 23. Hoping for DQ this week!

 

It has been a long crazy haul at NVC. I never thought I would be here this long. I got to NVC in Feb (the day my baby was born!) and despite having a newborn I was determined to get everything done as soon as possible. I had all the paperwork ready, I had all the steps memorized... come to find out 5 weeks (!) after submitting documents that the Canadian police certificate requirement changed a few months ago, and what the US asks for isn’t a standard item in Canada. We went to our RCMP (police), watched them hem and haw about what type of certificate to send, and then they took fingerprints. Then silence. 4 weeks later we hear back from them that the fingerprints weren’t clear enough.. what?? So my husband went back to redo them. I found a thread on Visajourney about using a company called Commissionaires that could provide the same document. So we had to book a day off work, drive 2 hours to this Commissionaire office but they got us the right thing and seemed to know exactly what they were talking about. It took 2 weeks for us to receive it in the mail. So that brought us to May 23, the day I resubmitted. Honestly I thought we’d be selling our house by now and have everything packed up. That’s okay, the timing is in God’s hands so I’m not worried about it. However, it is frustrating when things drag on and on outside of your control! Hoping for our case complete any day now.

So now NVC is reviewing on May 24? I got one more week to go!

Just got an email from NVC “need document”. So all my documents were “accepted” including the document they say they need. How do I reupload when it says it is accepted? Shouldnt it say “missing” or “denied” or something?

After a long wait, finally got my documentarily qualified e-mail!

So my timeline is:

 

#1 Normal submit: April 16th

#2 Re-Submit (Reason: Fix joint sponsor signature on affidavit of support): May 2nd

#3 Re-Submit (Reason: Send in form 1099 to support tax return of joint sponsor) : May 23rd

Documentarily Qualified: June 19th

I also had the same situation, all the documents are accepted but as per NVC message: Need 2017 W2. So Just upload that document under additional document and explains that in the doc upload comment.

I got the DQ email this morning! My goodness, over 4 months at the NVC stage. Praise the Lord this is over!
