Yeahp. We have been one of the only two cases I know on this Forum from Feb that were missed by NVC for the interview. We have been in touch with them but all we are told is that the case is complete and we will get scheduled when there is an open slot at the embassy. When we tell them that other cases that were completed after us have been scheduled they say that "they can't speak for other cases".  We've tried expediting the case (got declined) and reached out via our senator (they weren't able to have it investigated any further too). So just waiting in the queue - curious to see if there are other Mumbai cases here that are waiting too?

That sucks..my Expedite was also denied last week...it’s wired..NVC and Consulate says they work FCFS bases ...which is not true...r u CR 1 or IR1...the only reason they may not assign a ID is if PD is not current...hang on brother we all will get through..🙏...

Is there a typical time of day that the interview confirmations are released at?

I've been waiting for around 3 weeks already and I'm driving myself made checking my email at all hours of the day. I'm sure many of you are doing the same thing.

well... it usually rains about the middle of the month.... hang in there ... its almost over.....

I'm confused. So.. I've been told that when you get your interview letter that your status will change then I've been told it changes before you get your IL because the embassy first has to receive your case in order to make an interview?? Which is correct because my status still says at NVC . My CC was May 17..

when you get your interview date..... a few days later it should change to Transit, which means they have sent to the embassy, when it gets to the embassy, it would change to ready, which means they have all they need for your interview.

Happy new month of interviews!!

My request for our case to be expedited got denied. Its as if they didn't even read or look at the evidence and letter i sent them. They said that they cannot approve my request to be fair to others who have petitions. I don't get it... We were told the wrong information by their representative that resulted in a months delay and now we are going to be another month behind because of this. Very frustrating but oh well. Just have to try and be patient.

Also, does anyone know how long it normally takes to get your passport back after the interview? I have travel booked from Australia to New Zealand at the end of July and am nervous I won't have my passport, if I get an interview scheduled for July.. I've emailed the consulate to see what happens in situations like this, but haven't heard back yet....

when did you case close... i wont advise you travel anywhere for now, you are almost there, wont be nice for you not to be available whenever they want you to be, that can also delay your processing

Thanks!! I am CR1. Apparently PD should not matter since it's always current for CR1 cases.

I always felt a way about that because In a way I feel we shouldn’t be in the regular queue knowing my husband and I are ir1 and filed over 13 months ago but hey here we are

@nyokie @Kartinee23 Congratulations guys! I'm so happy for you.

Now the waiting game for the interview begins. It's going to end soon and once you are in your partner's arms you will forget about these hard times you had to go through. Trust me, I don't even remember that I was given 221g anymore unless I really think of how the interview went. The interviewer I got looked super annoyed maybe he was having a bad day. He kept reading my grandfather's affidavit and my husband's employment letter while shooting questions at me and also typing. Such a multitasker 😅 I almost felt like we were having a rapid fire round at some quiz competition. 😜 He told me everything looks good, returned my passport, kept my documents, gave me a 221g and told me to drop the passport to one of the drop off locations when they contact me. After the interview, I was so lost and broken, i had no idea what to do. I read so many 221g horror stories on VJ. I didn't want to be one of them but they approved me on the 18th, interview was on the 16th. All I think of now is how amazing it will be to be able to live with my husband everyday without having to worry about flights or take time off. You feel the same soon. Some tunnels happen to be longer than others but remember there's always light at the end. You are so close to the end of the process. Good Luck to you and everyone else here! This process is not easy but worth it in the end.

Thank you! what a story, first it start off ok then sad and blessed at the same time, wow I know he gave you a hard time and I know you didn't sleep well until the day you got approved, everything changed. am glad everything turn out to be great.

Yes we are at the end of the process, lord know I cant wait to walk out there with a smile on my face.

Thank you once again.

I hope and pray you come out of the embassy with a big smile on your face. I had blackouts after leaving the embassy and would have been lying on the street if my husband didn't come with me. The didn't tell me if I was approved or denied but just said "Everything looks good. I like your answers. You're very descriptive. I am going to take a week or two to go through these photos and documents. Drop your passport at one of our 11 drop of centres when we contact you." I had no idea what the hell he meant. I have read here that when they keep your passport it's a good sign, doesn't indicate an approval but it's still like you have a higher chance if they keep it. And he didn't keep my passport. I already started imagining how many months or even years it would take in administrative processing. But luckily that didn't happen! The day I dropped my passport I had 6 ice creams. Still recovering from the fever and cold I had after that. 😜😜😜 I wish you the best and definitely hope everything goes well for you at the interview!
