Hello , I need help please . My husband had his interview on June 4th in mumbia for cr 1 visa. Everything went well the officer approved the visa. However , after the interview, ceac was on administrative Processing for 3 days and my attorney sent NVC an email asking to y the case was on administrative Processing. They didn’t reply. On the 11th it went to ready for interview again . On 13th again it went to ready for interview. Now it hasn’t changed since than. Can anyone share experience and similar situation please please. I am going back to the US today without my husband. I need you all to pray for my family please I have a 3 yr old who needs his father .

Well it's perfectly fine if the status is Administrative processing even after the CO approved your Visa. The status stays as AP for like 2-3 days untill the passport is stamped with your Visa. Once it's stamped the status changes to issued. You receive the email/sms for pickup or get delivered to your address provided. This is the regular process.

But your status showing ready for interview again is very unusual after your Visa getting approved. Probably you will have to check with NVC for this

Hi folks,

I have been silent for a while as I was just waiting for my husband’s interview which is today. You know what?! We are put as AP!!! The first sentence that the CO talked to my husband was “I will not approve your visa today”. I can’t imagine how shocked my husband was when he heard this.

The reason is the CO thinks I have not enough proofs of US domicile. He said this IR-1 is for family reunion but I have already stayed with my husband in his home country for 10 years. The CO needs us to submit more proofs that I will move back to the US.

Here are the proofs of my US domicile that we have submitted in the NVC stage and to the CO:

1. US driver license with my US residental address

2. US credit card statement (I have been actively used)

3. US savings bank statement (I have put money in it regularly)

4. Active voter registration

5. Quotation from shipping company for moving

6. One way flight quotation from travel agent

7. Job resignation letter of my husband

8. Tax return 1040 of past 5 years

9. Tax transcripts of past 3 years

Now we are trying to gather as much proofs as possible. I need you VJ members to help for brainstorming. Here are some proofs I can think of:

1. Letter from my parents and brother stating we will live with them.

2. Since we will live in my parents’ house, can we make a lease agreement with my parents?

3. Add my name on the utility bills of my parents’ house.

4. Add my name on the car insurance of my dad.

5. Online register my son to preschool

6. Buy one way flight ticket for my son and myself

I don’t want to move back without my husband so I hope to find some proofs that I can get ASAP.

Please help...TIA

Okay guys, my wife's interview (in Mumbai, India) is coming up in about a week.

She wants me to ask you guys what she should wear to the interview?

I'm a guy, so i know nothing about clothing.  Please help lol.

Western or ethnic doesn't really matter as long as she is not over dressed. A shirt/tee with jeans/trousers or a kurta whichever she's comfortable in. I remember this woman who wore a very blingy salwar with so many bangles. We heard the CO ask her at the interview "You never dressed like this on any of your photos. Why are you dressed like this now?"

I was there for my toursit Visa interview. This was a few years ago when they were still processing Spousal Visas in New Delhi. She was given 221g. I met her outside. She told me they needed a new co sponsor and that the CO remarked that most people don't wear so much jewellery unless you had a traditional wedding. They had a court marriage. The CO's are well versed with the customs and culture of the country they are working in.

Have you submitted your USA naturalisation certificate ? I don't see you mentioning this anywhere.
