Isn't NVC the ones who assign the Interview date to the visa case, consulate just provides the dates available over the month, right? If that's the case NVC might be the one prioritising; I asked a similar question, people responded that NVC assigns based on CC date and not visa class.

Only cr1/ir1 are consistently getting their interview letters on time. All other visas have been slowed at MUMBAI. So yes they are heavily prioritising citizens.

Hi everyone, I don’t post often, but this site has been so helpful to me and seeing other member’s posts and timelines keeps me hopeful, so I thought I’d share an update of my own case to contribute to the site and help others.

I received my husband’s interview date via email from NVC today super early in the morning—around 4:00am EST time. Interview date is on July 24. CC was on May 21. So grateful this long process is finally over! 😌

Wonderful news! It's come through relatively quickly for you. COUNTDOWN BEGINS TELL YOU'RE TOGETHER AGAIN!!!!

First of all congratulations to everyone receiving interview dates!

But I am freaking out now that I see others with CC after mine getting interviews and I'm still waiting for mine (CR1 in New Zealand). Anyone have any tips on how to not freak out completely? I feel like I might go insane, the NVC stage seems to have taken so long for me- we started submitting in February, they asked for more and we last sent docs around 29th March, didn't get CC until 16th May.

I wouldn't be so upset but my husband has returned to the US as his visa for New Zealand expired and I'm not from NZ originally but the UK so I don't have anyone here with me. Anyway please excuse my ranting and slow decent into madness.

Honestly you just have to pray and stay patient , and make sure to talk to your support system . I would be honest and say I felt some sort of exceptional and entitlement due to being in ir1 Visa class and applying low ago ( over one year ago ) however I am still waiting as well . I know it’s frustrating but one this is over you’ll never have to go through this process again

Thank you so much for your kind response. That is so true, I will keep my eye on the fact that this is the last time we will be forced to spend so long apart. Once it is done, it is done.

For now, I will just be patient.

Hi all,

Is there anyone stuck in Administrative Processing??

My husband has taken interview on May 31, 2019 and they gave 221g.

We submitted all the paperwork and since then it shows AP.

The date has changed twice but the status remains same i.e. your case is under administrative processing.

Anyone in the same boat??
