Actually I have gotten feedback from members on this forum that had already gone through their interviews. So this is also a valid forum to ask for interview feedback, etc.

The chances of people that already had their interviews to be looking at this particular thread of the forum would be slim so that is why I suggested a different thread (or maybe the consulate reviews because thankfully a lot of people share their interview experiences 👍), was only trying to help but I guess it did not come across like that.

Wait! how do you know? and when did you CC? who already received one?

We are still waiting for a IL Mumbai Consulate. We CC 5.13.19. We are IR1 category.

Just see the excel ....the MUMBAI consulate is giving preference to cases that are filed by citizens like cr1 /ir1 . I have seen many cases where they got IL and F2a is stopped for no reason after jan 2017. I guess visas are over for this year. My cc is April 8.

Actually I got my interview date last Monday June 3rd (scheduled myself after receiving email from the consulate that same day) and I am IR1. But my case is a little different as I got expedited.....

I applied for expedite early on the 21st of May then that evening I got CC. On the 24th of May I got the NVC email saying my expedite request was under review. On May 30th I got an NVC email “cancelling my interview” that I never got in the first place then early the next day Friday the 31st I got the NVC email saying my expedite request was approved. Then early Monday the 3rd of June I got the email from the consulate in Rio to schedule my own interview.

It is starting to become so very frustrating... I hear you!

As much as I was waiting for my IL, it turns out that my interview date will not be the mark of the (almost) end of the journey because I will not be able to schedule my medical before my interview anymore 🙁

I called the doctor last week to ask if I could please schedule my medical already eventhough I did not receive my IL yet and of course that was not allowed and on top of that they will be out of the office on holiday for 3 weeks starting June 24th... Only 1 doctor for the whole of my country and they can just close for 3 weeks without backup, that is ridiculous...

Even if I receive my IL with a great interview date now and have my interview soon(ish), I will not be able to call to schedule the medical until July 15th and the results will take 10 days. So that will mean no approval on the day of the interview and AP until they receive the medical results.

Sorry for the venting, just needed to get that off my chest!! :)

this is awful and not a good services at all. I am glad I was able to schedule my appointment even tho I don't have my Il. all I needed is to give them my case number.

I’m aware of your story and the other two cases approved for expediting . One of them are still pending for an interview at this time

You will probably hear back about your expedite request this week. Usually is a week later after the NVC email letting you know that your expedite request is under review.

We are all in this together! We will ALL get through this!

My husband was able to schedule his as well. We just gave the doctor a random date a month out after getting CC (as they didn’t want to schedule it without an interview date). And now that we got the interview date we will let the doctor know of his “updated” date when he has his appointment this coming Monday.

I can agree , this is a supportive platform . I am optimistic , my husband is based in a strict and high fraud country so unfortunately his embassy doesn’t normally approve expedited request however due to unforeseen circumstances I decided to send it anyway . The worst they can say is “ no “ and I keep waiting like I’ve been doing .

Totally! That’s how I felt. There is nothing to lose! I was even advised to apply by a supervisor at the NVC and she said the same thing “you don’t have nothing to lose”.

So if you get an interview “cancellation” email from the NVC that’s a good news! That means that they approved your request and now the consulate is taking over.

Other people that have gotten their expedite request approved received that interview “cancellation” email.

I submitted mine June3rd

i received an email June 5th starting it was being reviewed .Since then I haven’t heard anything

What happens if NVC decides our reason is not valid and disapproves the expedition request; Our normal process where NVC co-ordinates with Consulate doesn't get affected because we got the expedition request turned down right?
