This month is beginning to get more difficult.. wts all dis frustration  nvc n embassy r putting ppl through, u call n won’t even get any useful information .. close but yet far away... smthn must happen this week ooo

We have an interview on June 28th in Mumbai. 

CR1 spouse visa

I am a US citizen sponsoring my wife. 

Are there any members who have recently interviewed at Mumbai for CR1.

What was your experience like? 

Has anyone mentioned the interviewer asking for additional social media or information that might be on the DS 5535? 

We were never asked to fill out a DS 5535 but the new policy just went into effect May 31st so I am hoping this will not delay the visa approval.

For IV processing these questions have been added to DS260. According to my lawyer those who have already submitted DS260 should be good.

 

On a separate note. How many days did it take for your case to go from Case Complete to Interview Schedule?

In this part of the forum, you will only find people that are desperately waiting for an interview date so we will not be able to give you that info..

Maybe you can visit the regional forum to for info.

It is starting to become so very frustrating... I hear you!

 

As much as I was waiting for my IL, it turns out that my interview date will not be the mark of the (almost) end of the journey because I will not be able to schedule my medical before my interview anymore 🙁

I called the doctor last week to ask if I could please schedule my medical already eventhough I did not receive my IL yet and of course that was not allowed and on top of that they will be out of the office on holiday for 3 weeks starting June 24th... Only 1 doctor for the whole of my country and they can just close for 3 weeks without backup, that is ridiculous...

 

Even if I receive my IL with a great interview date now and have my interview soon(ish), I will not be able to call to schedule the medical until July 15th and the results will take 10 days. So that will mean no approval on the day of the interview and AP until they receive the medical results.

 

Sorry for the venting, just needed to get that off my chest!!

We got a Case Completed on April 8th.

Interview scheduled on May 9th.

Interview date: June 28th.

2-5 days for NVC to respond.

 

FYI, US consulate Mumbai does not entertain expedite requests.

Actually I have gotten feedback from members on this forum that had already gone through their interviews. So this is also a valid forum to ask for interview feedback, etc.

 

One example is @MrsRamirez her husband just went through the interview last Friday and was able to provide feedback of his interview. At her husband interview they asked for chats he had with her, etc

Please read recent reviews about Mumbai Consulate interviews! Since you already filed the DS 260 and have an interview date set, I don't think it will affect your wife's application. But again, anything can happen. So no one can actually tell if they will ask her to submit DS 5535. Some embassies such as Morocco put applicants on AP and then email them to fill out and submit DS 5535. Haven't really read anything such for India yet. Good Luck for your wife's interview!

I submitted mine June3rd 

i received an email June 5th starting it was being reviewed .Since then I haven’t heard anything
