Hi!

I just wanted to tell you all some joyus news in my life. My father petitioned for me with the I 130 2003. Just like so many others here I have been waiting for the visa bulletin each month and kept up with the visa processing dates. Waiting, waiting....

Then yesterday while surfing on the net, I found an article on derived citizenship (on shustermans site). I read on with my heart jumping wilder and wilder.

This morning I called uscis, who asked me to hold the line while they opened up a computer program that would consider all the old legislations, from when I was born.

And amazing - after another two minutes they told me - I am a us citizen and have been all my life!

I can´t believe it!

They even told me there was no need for any n600 form, I could just ask the state department to give me a passport!

For more than 30 I have not had a clue of this. (And I guess not the us either, since they never asked me for any taxes...).

On the embassy site of my country it lists among the people who can ask for a passport to be issued, "unknown citizens". Imagin! it´s a bit like a fairytail, like goblings popping up from the ground...unknown citizen...haha

I´m just so happy and surpriced.

Congraaaaaaaaats LORD does miracles...thats why you came to know about that law..or you wld have waited for all the full processing time of your current petition.
