Just an update...

Well...

I called yesterday...The lady I spoke to took my information and then put me on hold for about 4 minutes.  When she returned she said our case is showing it was approved October 18.  We did not receive any notices, text emails or otherwise.  I have accounts on both USCIS websites that still say "Case Received".

At this point I am cautiously optimistic that it was indeed approved and will wait to see if anything shows up in the mail.

Hard to get too excited when there is such a possibility that the information I was given is incorrect. Read too many horror stories here to believe anything until I have that document in hand.

Just an update to this post...

We were indeed approved on October 18.  There was no notification of any sort, but the hard copy arrived 10/24 in the mail.  For those of you still waiting and not receiving notices like us....

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR MAIL...

You could very well already be approved and not know it!!!

Best wishes to all of you still waiting!!!

Indeed what you experienced and what you said are true. Don't forget to check your SPAM folder in your email as it has been known that it can appear there without your knowledge. FYI

If you let it get to you it may feel shaky. It's simple - provide what they want and wait for their approval then move on to the next step.
