Not happy.....

On October 21, 2019, your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by November 20, 2019

oh no.... so sorry to hear this. I guess on the positive noted your case is being looked at and something has happened. Hoping that they put a fasttrack(?) note on your file now for the new office. Seems like those who have had RFE's gets their NOA2s shortly after so hoping yours will progress in a similar manner

I hope you got transferred to California.    California is a state where many immigrants are ie.. high likelihood your case is seen by a immigrant.    Many more friendly in grey areas to a file.

I filed on 6/14/19 and got REF on 9/20,  replied on 10/3 and finally got our NOA2 (10/16) today in mail without online update. Hopefully everyone gets what they want! positive energy going out for you guys!

😀

Congratulations.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

This is not unusual to have a file transferred to another location. Sometimes it down because of staff requirements or something in your application requires additional scrutiny. Most pass through with little or no problem except a short delay possibility. Nothing to worry about.

Maybe Vermont? I think they all start in California and then certain cases gets transferred to Vermont, especially those that need more background check, for example those with past criminal records.

I hope it doesn't take another 140 days! I don't think it will, maybe they're just working on something a bit more. I hope those who experienced a transfer can chime in!

Hang in there, you'll get your NOA 2 soon!

Has to be Vermont they are the only other site that processes k1s.  Their timeline is 11 to 14 months so guess it's just time.

Each case is different and so the adjudication can be different. Be positive and have a bright outlook for yourself. Try and figure out how you can spend more time together. Maybe another visit?

$3000 return ticket?  We have discussed it but I cant fly till jan.   I am the positive one

Don't know if this will shed any more light on your case but worth a read.

The USCIS periodically shifts designated case types between service centers to more evenly distribute workloads. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has created a webpage exclusively for informing the public about workload-related case transfers. The online resource makes it easier for stakeholders to stay informed about any such file movements.

USCIS Workload Transfer Webpage

The USCIS has five service centers that are responsible for processing designated types of immigration applications and petitions. From time to time, the caseload demands among the service centers need to be adjusted to achieve proper balance. When this occurs, the USCIS may choose to redistribute certain case types from one service center to another. A dedicated webpage has been established to serve as a central location for announcements of USCIS workload transfers and to provide general information explaining the need for these transfers.

Case-Related Communications to New Location

When the USCIS transfers a case, the petitioner or applicant is sent a transfer notice indicating the file’s new location. The case receipt number does not change. From that time, any communications sent to the USCIS regarding the case should be directed to the new service center location.

Filing Address for New Cases Not Impacted by Workload Transfers

Case transfers do not affect the requirements for where to file a new case. Applications and petitions must continue to be filed at the standard addresses as designated, which vary based on the case type and related factors.

Conclusion

Transfers for the purpose of balancing service center workload are generally no cause for alarm, but still lead many to incorrectly assume that this signifies a problem with the transferred cases. This centralized workload transfer website should help to allay many such fears.

Hi Dale,

Some things are beyond our control and we can only manage expectations.   I presume its USA to NZ.   if there are budget airlines thru Singapore, try to use it, otherwise, more facetime, app chat etc.   Chinese business class to Singapore is about $2500 RT.  Then budget Scoot from Singapore.

All of us here hope you have a expedited approval.  best wishes
