I'm guessing if divorced that means additional things to check ? I haven't a clue. It's not the waiting that gets me I think it's the not knowing.  Like if I knew it was going to be accepted I would feel better waiting.

Right, the not knowing is horrible.

I think also it’s because at this stage the timeline is more indefinite: once you’re approved you know roughly how long it should take at the next stages, at least more so than at this stage..

Since we submitted we have a lot more proof including a ring and a dress we didnt have before as well as me meeting his family etc.  I wish this whole process was digital so we could upload stuff like that to our case officer . Rfe would be instant.  Why does everything need a paper trail ugh.

Hi my name is Alexa my fiance name is Nathan.

Noa1 June 11 says out noa but uscis case status says June 14 .

I'm sad. Not so patiently waiting. I keep wondering if I sent to much . We sent a lot of evidence and I also sent in the financial paperwork . For some reason we thought we did it then . I also have a previous divorce so i think all that is why they are taking forever . Seeing people who filed after me get approved makes me feel like I'm 5 playing a game of duck duck goose where I havent been picked . Lol is there anyone here still suffering with me ? 105 days

Oh he is from the UK and our paperwork is at WAC California

we are in the same boat!!! And if it can make you feel better about your case we have way more red flags than just one divorce for the petitioner... I am thinking that is probably what is making us not being between the lucky ones having an early answer. I keep telling myself that processing time is 5-7months on the USCIS website also! So let’s hang on there, support each other and hope for the best! The answer will arrive at some point :)

I called uscis this morning to inquire about my case and was informed that we were approved on Friday 9/20!!! :dancing: The officer stated that the hard copy will be mailed today or tomorrow. No case updates on sites (old & new), app, or phone. I’m so excited!!

NOA1:6/24

NOA2: 9/20

I am curious about that though! How did you manage to talk to somebody? It gives me tons of options that never put me on the phone with an actual officer.

I called the assigned 800 number for uscis and explained the reason for my call and requested to speak with Tier2, I was never transferred. I was given the information regarding approval through a regular officer. Each case is different apparently.

I dont think divorce is the issue.   I have more than 1 of that (maybe my bad luck etc) and also prior brushes with the law.   The important part is completeness of paperwork.

i have an attorney helped me look thru all my evidence.  Mainly certified copies of court docs, photos and timeline of relationship, tickets, intent to marry package to include plans, reservations, budget etc

no rfe approved in 90 days.

its about as much docs as possible.

Neither of us have a criminal history or even parking tickets. We are super curious about what embassy . He lived in northern Ireland so technically the UK however the London embassy is really far. There is a embassy in Dublin for Irish citizens I wonder if they will make him go to London since hes a UK citizen or if they will allow him to go to closest Embassy .

Divorce is not a cause for delay.  It could be something random or some missing paperwork.  I'm twice divorced and have a past arrest which didn't lead to any charges or trial.

I don't think it is about having as much docs as possible  - at least not for us.

I have zero criminal/civil record, never married, and I am a lawyer and made sure our paperwork was complete - probably  overinclusive in my opinion. Or timeline of relationship, plane tickets, event tickets, reservations, photos, etc., was a larger paper stack than the required stuff.

I think it all depends on who your USCIS reviewing officer is & how diligent they are... 🤷‍♀️

0 criminal/civil record either.

I don’t know I’ve always heard about « red flags » and we have a few of those apparently... Beneficiary also previously lived in the US under a J-1 (time we met). Thinking they could be looking into this also???

We got help to make sure everything was perfectly written and all the necessary proofs were included + many more (We were even scared it was too much and thought a long time before sending it like this!). I can’t imagine getting an RFE honestly!!!

but yes let’s just be patient. we keep saying we should stop torturing ourselves with all those questions but it’s easy to say haha ... :)
