Does it take into account the beneficiaries country? Because I see a few on here who got their NOA1 after others but their estimate for NOA2 is a week or 2 sooner 🧐

I'm not too sure but I believe it doesn't. The estimation consistently changes with the new data people provide to VJ. Did the other people check their estimation at different times to you? Mine changed by an entire month during my K1 wait. Many people get RFEs and some people go into extended periods of AP (we see this at times) which VJ cannot predict. I believe it does as much as it can on a quantitative data level as an estimation for everyone regardless of country. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

But remember, it is just an estimation so you shouldn't put all of your eggs into that basket.

Welcome to the group. This first step is pretty exciting but the road ahead is long, stressfull and sometimes filled with hiccups. My recommendation is to lower your expectations and go with the flow and it will be much more enjoyable.  All the best.

Hi! Thanks! I've been reading a lot of  very useful info here. My tracking still says the same since yesterday morning. Hopefully the mailman/woman just forgot or did not bother to scan it's last destination.

I’d be surprised if it’s anything more than simple averaging with +/- few days error. I hope they have at least a reasonable cutoff for data points. I don’t think anyone is trying to figure out the Gaussian distribution of visa approvals lol.

Depending on where you are mailing it from and the type of service it might very well be on some truck somewhere in transit. I would just be worried if you request two-day service and it’s been a week.

You are currently exhibiting newbidience. It's known habit of constantly wondering if something is working or why it's not. "expectations"??

Payment pending!! Never thought I’d be so happy to see money leaving my account 🤣

Just thought I'd update for anyone curious:

  • June 21 - USCIS Tx recived our petition
  • June 27 - money withdrawn from bank
  • [never got email notice & I'm currently abroad so didn't leave a #]
  • July 1st - hard copy of NOA1 was sent to my US mailing address -- it was dated June 26, so i'l update my timeline accordingly

See you all in a couple of months for hopefully just an update on NOA2 😊
