Finally I received the instructions packet from the US embassy today!!

I’m able to request a Police certificate to Singapore finally as I do not know how long it takes....

Does anyone know about SSN part on DS-160?

When I was studying the US, I had a SSN. However, since I lost the card and I don’t remember the number anymore, I don’t know what to input. Should I input “ does not apply” as there is no “ Do not know”?

Appreciate your help to advise.

Hi Kamakiri.

Hi Tighfield

As for the instructions packet,  you will be asked to prepare followings. But depending on which embassy you are receiving the packet, it may differ some docs.

1. DS-160 & Profile

2. Assemble Documents and fee (Police certificate, photos, Affidavit of Support, Medical exam report, etc)

3. Make an Appointment after all docs are prepared)

I believe you’d better check the interview checklist for your embassy homepage.

Usually you will not receive the P3 letter in the mail. Do an online service request. They will respond typically in 2 -3 days with the instruction (P3). You will need to submit D-160 and pay the visa fee, then schedule the medical afterward. Technically, you will need the P3 to complete the medical exam, although some have gotten by with just the interview confirmation. I wouldn't risk it and would just request that they email it to you via: https://vn.usembassy...a-inquiry-form/  When using the form be sure to add in the comments section the last 4 digits of your SSN or they will email you back asking for it which causes further delays.

Here is some information including the Embassy P3 for you to get a head start

Next steps:

Follow along in CEAC for updates with these steps.

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

Once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days, although we received our visa before any of the various websites that allow you to look up the status said that it had been sent out.

Quick question about the employment verification letter. Who should the letter be addressed to? I am showing examples that have USCIS. Should this be made out to the specific embassy that my fiance will be going too?

Address to your Embassy.

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all doing fine! 😄

My fiancee and I haven't heard from the USCIS since we got our NOA1. I decided to check our application status thru their website and showed us this. What to do next? I need your advice please! I'm so excited!! Thank you guys in advance! 😄

Please read the PDF file from the first post in this thread on the first page. Everything is there that you should be doing at this stage. Some items have passed others are still "in use".  Your next step is to call NVC to get your case number. Phone numbers and instructions are in the PDF. Once you have your case number your case gets sent to the Embassy. Instructions for this process are also in this PDF.

Thank you! I appreciate it. Another question, can we start preparing for Affidavit of Support now?

Use these links. PPL from other embassy's tend to give generic answers which may or may not be true for your embassy. I have provided links below for the next steps for the preparation for the interview. Best link to use is Hank's website. He has step by step instructions and you will probably thank me for the links and tips.

Additional information can be found here:

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

Hi @Greenbaum haven't seen you in a while. Hope all is ok. So little background

Sept 20th fiance had her K1 interview. Recieved a 221G for no reason. No additional docs needed. Just to wait to for an email. They gave back her passport and canceled her tourist Visa which I understand you can not have two visas.

Been on AP since then with one update on 10/11/19 then another update on 10/17/19 and once again today 10/18/19 so I'm assuming they are working on the case which is a good thing. I know AP is just a wait game so wait it is.

Hi @Greenbaum! Thank you! I already called the NVC 4 days ago, he gave me our case # and invoice ID.  He also told me that they just received our Petition from USCIS on the 10th of October. How long it usually takes for them to transfer it to the USEM? Thank you! :)
