Now that I already had my medical and have planned the interview, 10 days after returning the documents from P3, the Amsterdam US CG emailed me the P4. Except needing to print out the appointment letter that came in P4 I think its other contents are kinda surplus- instructions on how to schedule the medical and also the interview were already a part of P4. Not that it hurts to receive it twice😜

"Life is a journey." At this moment, it's taking me to the USA to the woman I love.

@Greenbaum ‘trust the process’ is the first thing I ever read from you, so I did. And it worked. I will carry this advice throughout the rest of the process, whatever that may be.

Thank you so much for what you do. You help change people’s lives on here. I will always be grateful.

From Bristol UK to Colorado Springs, CO. Here's to adventure!

Thank you for trusting me with your visa. My goal is to make it less stressful and for your steps and for it to go smoothly. You took the first step; Trust the Process.

There are three things that I have learned.

1) they promise you only a yes or no answer

2) they will do it on THEIR time and not yours

3) they have the gold so they make the rules

Follow those 3 items and you will lower your expectations. Unfortunately many here cannot do that or refused. You have learned a very valuable lesson GRASSHOPPER!

No go and get that visa.

As with any answer to a process like this it should be taken seriously and not brushed of as "does not apply" when in fact it does apply. Do you still have any documents from school that may have your SSN. Have you tried to registering on the SS website. Did you file any income tax that you may still have copies which surely will show your SSN. If all else fails, it's on the phone to SS and ask how you can get a new card and the number.

Thanks for the advise.

Well,  it turned out that I was able to find my SSN card!

Done submitting DS-160;),

I apologize if this question was already asked. But can someone explain how we should present the documents for the interview? Our interview in on September 9th. We have all the documents ready and I know what order to put them in, but what type of folder should we bring them in?

Any folder the permits you to find your documents easily. Nothing special as the CO could care less.

You interview is one day before our own :) Good luck. As to the question I know it has already been answered I’m taking a regular two sided folder.

Hi guys. It's been more that a month since our case was sent to USEM Abu Dhabi but until now we still haven't received the P3. I also sent them an e-mail but also no reply.

What is the best thing to do? Thanks.

Don't do anything in advance until the case is ready at embassy and the embassy sends you an email to the petitioner to follow these steps for Scheduling interview, Medical exam, police clearance etc.  Usually takes about 2 months to receive.

so just a little update if anyone is interested of in the same "boat" as me. Our case was received by the embassy in Bogota, Colombia and given the "ready" status on the CEAC website on august 8th. Then we waiting for the packet instructions. fast forward exactly 3 weeks, august 29th, my fiance got a phone call from the embassy asking her what her email was. They said they would email her the packet instructions between 3 to 4 weeks. CEAC shows an update to our case now "august 29th" .

So for anyone waiting for their instructions so they can schedule an interview...I understand the wait is dreadful but...we are at their mercy. Also, it is to my understanding that the embassy in bogota also is taking extra work from the people in venezuela. so i can totally understand why it would take over a month for us to receive our instructions.

At this time, we are taking things pretty easy. if it comes down to it, we can always request for a time extension for our case.  (it is good until sometime in october :D )

Interview is scheduled for tomorrow! I am so excited, any last minute advice? @Greenbaum ❤️

Don’t show up drunk, be honest, have confidence and wear something professional.  Oh and don’t say more then the question asks, keep it short and sweet.
