Today is a big day for some as your case file may ship out to your embassy. Check CEAC for updated progress and look for "in transit"!! If that shows you are on your way. Shipments are throughout today and tomorrow so don't get discourage if your record at CEAC has not changed over to "in transit” Also, for those who want to have a little fun in tracking your shipment see the DHL hack on the first page of this thread NUMBER 19 for instructions. NOTE: The DHL hack information will not be available till Wednesday as the DHL and NVC computers must sync with each other to produce the outcome.

You have three stages 1) transit - shipment is in the air or soon will be, 2) received - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) ready - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview.  These will be your current state or status to your case file once you have received the case number. Once your record is set to "ready" you are ready to proceed in processing your next steps as listed in your P3 for your embassy.  I have most P3 if you hit me up with a request, I will post back the links.

Please don't screenshot and post your CEAC status as it just clutters up the thread. We all know what it looks like. Let us know your progress as we want to celebrate with you. Good luck.

Email won't come that quickly, if at all for a day or so, sometimes longer.

I'm Excited today for everyone anticipating a shipping. :) i just wanted to say that I finally received an email from the NVC inquiry to update me and my beneficiary's email. The inquiry was over a month ago, so for others who sent an inquiry to the NVC and never got a response within the  typical week, don't get discouraged. It is possible they will still get back with you.

The only part I am not so sure of is getting the packet. I know it is really more of an embassy specific thing and out of the scope of this thread. I have seen the embassy past packet for Bogota and have downloaded it, but I am not sure through which  means we will receive the current version (physical or electronic). it seems I am so close to the interview date that i can almost taste it! :clock:

So I checked the CEAC and it says my case is IN TRANSIT and below that it reads "Your interview date was provided to you by the NVC". What does that mean? I unnderstood I'll have to schedule my interview via https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-nl after the embassy will have (e-)mailed me Packet 3, or is that incorrect?

Ignore that provided stuff, pertains to immigrant visas. Find your sub-forum to ask and search the answer on the embassy website.

Ah right, thank you! I didnt realize that stuff pertains to something that is not applicable to me.

Seriously. Why don't USCIS/DOS create 3 sections: Immigrant visas, Non-immigrant visas, Fiance(e) visas? So that one knows where to find all info that is applicable to their case and doesn't need to puzzle out all the info that is not applicable. It would make the process sooooo much more understandible. And they wouldn't need to deal with confused people. Just make the info clear.
