Hey! Sorry if this has been addressed above but what Julian date calculator are you referring to? Our NOA2 date is May 29 and just wondering if I should switch from waiting mode to obsessively checking mode.

Its in the PDF file on the first page of the thread. I'd suggest you call on Monday to see if they have your file. Of not then call upper Monday to check. My noa2 was may 13th so it took about 4 weeks to get a case # so I wouldn't obsess just yet.

Always lead with love ❤️

Funny you should ask. Yes its been asked before and if you above your post you would have seen the answer to the same question.  It's not unusual for me to answer this question 3 to 5 times a day. To get the most from your experience here on VJ I recommend that when you return to VJ that you start reading "the history" from where you had left off the last time you were on.

After 30 days from NOA2 you could check in to NVC for your case number as that's what is normal processing time currently.

Shipment dates for July are July 9th and July 23rd.  Getting your case number does not necessarily mean that you will make the next shipment date hoping and waiting still is the name of the game even at NVC. Good news is cases do get shipped out. Just make sure you update your email address and that of your beneficiary using the NVC inquiry form (even if there was no change in your addresses). At that time you can request that NVC send you an email once your case arrives at NVC, case number is assigned and or your case has shipped out to your embassy. The email thing does not always work so your mileage may vary.

Just a email!

We recently received a notice stating that on June 11, 2019 nvc will now forward  our case onto our corresponding embassy. I wanted to go into the ceac website but it asks for an invoice number, in the notice we received we only got a nvc case number & USCIS receipt number. Why? Or what happens next ? Thank you !

You go to ceac.state.gov and enter your status as "immigrant" then your case number. Invoice number is not used.

@Zoltan K posted this in the May NOA2 - NVC thread and I thought it would be helpful to share with this group.

If you scroll to the bottom of the page, it will tell you where the NVC is with their caseload.

Right now it says "As of 17-June-2019 we are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 23-May-2019."

Hey guys, our NOA2 is from June 5th, so I'm assuming we won't get a case number until July 5th or so according to the estimate times, is that right? Another thing that I didn't understand is, I can only start filling DS-160 when I have a case number assigned? When entering the ceac.state.gov website I have to select Non-Immigrant and fill out a DS-160 form normally, is that correct?

Thanks in advance :)
