Hmm, now I'm confused (even more😜

screenshot from the https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ Why does it list DS-160 under Non-immigrant? Please, clarify.

The K1 visa is actually a non-immigrant visa, which is why you need to fill out DS160, but the people who deal with your case process it under the immigrant visa division when you go to do your interview and check status on CEAC.

Ah, I thought it was every other Tuesday, which would make this the next shipment. Oh well :(

There is a PDF file located on the first post, first page in this thread with many items that you can refer to during your stay within the NOA2 to Embassy stage. Good luck.

My Case status says “Ready” I’m not sure what to do now 😧

Firsthand you should research on the website for your embassy for instructions. If nothing there an email to the embassy asking for interview instructions would be my second step.

I called the NVC today and was given my case number. 😎 Using the Julian calendar, I was able to figure out when my case number was assigned.

NOA2: 06/27/19

Case Number Assigned: 07/25/19

CEAC site shows status as: At NVC

I wanted to update my timeline to include a date the NVC recieved my case, but I was unable to find this out. (I did not ask the person on the phone unfortunately).

If others are wondering, I have never received any form of contact from NVC,  even after having sent an email inquiry to update my email and beneficiary's email.

Now to wait for its shipment ✈️

I advocate in my PDF that sometimes the updating of your email works and sometimes it doesn't. Looks like you will be on next weeks shipping schedule to your embassy. Good luck.

I've got my case number. It appears to have been assigned 25 July.

Are we assuming the next shipment is 8 August? If so, would it make sense to send an email over to US embassy in Bogota to get an interview date?

(I posted this in the wrong forum earlier, so my apologies for the repost.)

Please follow what is outlined in the P3 letter attached as a link to schedule an interview. Personally I think you are getting ahead of yourself as you haven't even committed to a medical exam and that is the visa validity driver. Embassy needs your medical exam before it can approve your visa. Slow down and begin to think through this. There are many in the sub forum for your country who can help. Link is below.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/16Oeg4xYRja1hqUSzF-uEaj1QiyoFnv9X/view  Also visit the embassy website for additional information.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community that comes behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

Thanks @Sarge2155 and @Greenbaum. About the medical, we had assumed we could show up about a half week before the interview and take care of it in Bogota. But perhaps I am jumping the gun a bit.

Research and again do your Research. Not all embassy work the same each are different. The materials that I gave you should begin to answer all your questions.
