Congrats!

I'll be calling early next week to see if my case # has been assigned.  NVC receipt date is the same as yours.

I hope you guys have the same outcome, any progression feels amazing at this stage.

We we had a terrible week in terms of the being apart this week so it was wonderful to have some good news. My best to you!

From Bristol UK to Colorado Springs, CO. Here's to adventure!

Apparently they are now 4 months out. I tried to schedule yesterday, but the only thing showing is December and I am unable to schedule since there are no appointments at the ACS in Chihuahua. 😑   I'm scheduling under nonimmigrant correct?

Yes you have to pick the K1 Visa option and I also saw the next dates where Into December. But check back every few days as sometimes other newer dates may appear. It has happened to others. Tid bit.... when doing the medical give yourself 2 to 3 days before your interview date to ensure the results are complete. Best of luck!

My paperwork left NVC yesterday and today CEAC status is showing as ready so I guess we are good to go whenever my fiance does the DS160. Do you if there is expiration on the medical exams? We are driving through Juarez next month and it would be nice if he just do it then instead of having to drive up twice in a couple of days.

http://clinicamedicainternacional.com.mx/en/doctor-home-page-en/ this has info on the medical exam along with prices.

What was the link that you had? I only had the immigrant option.

Hey all,

Im just wondering does anyone know when we pay the visa fee?

I have filled out and submitted the ds-160 but now I'm unsure about how/when I should pay the 265$ fee or do I need to wait for the embassy give me the go ahead to pay?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

According to your embassy their are certain steps that you must take after they have contacted you and after receipt of your physical case. That information I believe i gave you last week. Here it is again.

I called again this morning and our case number was already assigned! 😊 My fiancee has already scheduled her medical exam (Warsaw doesn't require the P3 paperwork, only a case #).  She was curious if she could begin filling out the DS-160, or if she should wait for the P3.  Thoughts?

This is actually incorrect. All you need to submit DS-160 is the USCIS number better known as the WAC number which is the WAC #. You also can use the case number.

The DS - 160 is a document that stands alone. It does not affect anything. You can't use it to find any information about your case. You can't use it for anything other than for its original intent and that is for the CO to use during your interview to adjudicate your case. It does not need to be finished at the moment you receive your case number or to do anything else but needs to be completed for the interview and it can be completed between case number issuance to the day before your interview.

It's hard enough being in a long distance relationship and not being with the person that you love.

When you factor in the stress, time, money, effort, and energy of the K-1 process, that can compound the strain.

Wishing the best for you and everyone else who is going through this process!
