No, we intentionally chose end of August as I needed to plan travel (I'll be with my fiance at the interview) and still need some time to gather everything for P3. Less stress overall ☺️

Ahhh ok very good plan!

Did you have to wait for P3 before scheduling an interview or can you schedule once the DS-160 is done?

I did my DS160 as soon as it left NVC. Then waited 5 days and scheduled our interview. You will need the letter present to make you medical appt. But dates were 2 months out so I scheduled it knowing i would have the letter by then. Just FYI medical exams have to be done in Juarez too and you should allow 2 to 3 days prior to the interview to be sure you get results back in time for the interview.  Best of luck

They told me 8 weeks also but it took 2 business days.

Thanks!!

I'm gonna give them a day off tomorrow and will call again on Friday 😁

My paperwork left NVC yesterday and today CEAC status is showing as ready so I guess we are good to go whenever my fiance does the DS160. Do you if there is expiration on the medical exams? We are driving through Juarez next month and it would be nice if he just do it then instead of having to drive up twice in a couple of days.

People can somebody explain to me what I’m doing wrong with the DHL hack?

Or can somebody explain it to me more in depth please?

Which date range did you use? I put July 23 to 24, and it showed packages shipped out at midnight on 7/24

Yeah, the medical is typically valid for 6 months. I read somewhere it might be 3-6 months. 3 months sounds quite tight to me.

If I were you, I would check with the doctor who will be performing it, just to make sure.

I believe it can take a while before the package shows up in the DHL tracking system. So I don't think you're doing anything wrong, but you might be too early to try tracking it.

Hi all, I’m not sure if I’m needlessly concerned but wanted to just get clarification. I’ve been trying to keep up with the thread but am sure I’ve missed some, so sorry if this is repeat. We got our case number and were notified that it was sent to the consulate on July 9th.... still no packet 3. I’m confused about whether it is going to just automatically be sent to my fiancée or if there is a step in between. Does the DS-160 need to be filled out before P3 is sent?

Have you checked the status of your case at https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx ?

Or called your embassy for instructions?

When I use that link it asks for an Invoice ID number that I don't have... is that related to the DS-160? When I search under the  immigrant VIsa application status it says that it is ready and we can schedule an appointment for the interview but have gotten nothing else since the email stating that our forms were being forwarded to the Consulate. I'm not sure if we missed something we are supposed to do or need to just continue waiting. I've just noticed that others got their P3's last week and we haven't heard a peep.

I think the answer to your question might be here: https://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php?title=LingChe_NVC_ShortCut#8._Getting_your_IIN_.28invoice_identification_number.29

Thank you! Finally got it to work haha

What does: "Shipment picked up" mean? That the case has just been received and that soon it will be go unto the air?

I just got off the phone, the NVC told met they received my file today! 😁😁😁😁😁 They haven't assigned a case nr yet though and told me that issuing one could take UP TO 8 WEEKS. But I will keep haunting them 😇

They told me that as well, but then asked what type of visa I was applying for. When I said “K1”, the response he gave me was “oh, those are processed much faster, call back again next week to check on a case #”.

I would try next week as well, you might  be quite surprised!
