Just called the non-immigrant visa number (603-334-0888) for my weekly check in and the message states the NVC is closed...um, #######? It's no where near a federal holiday, what's going on?

EDIT: Nevermind, their line went back to normal about 16 minutes past 9am.

EDIT 2: They received the petition yesterday! Got my case number too!! Yaaaay!!

It was the same yesterday.... They probably learnt that everybody calls as the clock strikes 9:00 so they decided to open the lines a bit later 😜

"Life is a journey." At this moment, it's taking me to the USA to the woman I love.

I decided to wait about a month to start calling, and just called and got through. They said they received my packet yesterday but it still doesn't have a case number assigned yet and that I should call again at the end of the week or next week.

Try calling them perhaps you'll  be pleasantly surprised.

I called at 9 AM, got off hold around 9:30.  Based on their info, our petition was just received yesterday (7/23/19).  They told me to call back next week to check on the case #.  So at a minimum, our case won't get shipped out until August 8th, so hopefully we should receive the P3 around the end of August.

Maybe it's your lucky day. Here is your P3 for Poland.

Just wanted to provide an update. I called the NVC for the first time today, and they told me that it was received on Friday, and that the case number was assigned on Monday.

SO I got my case number today, which I am happy about. My NOA 2 date was June 25th.

The individual whom I spoke with was awesome. I just asked if I had a case number, and they just gave me a bunch of info I did not even ask for lol. Like that the package will be shipped out in a few days, but could not tell me when exactly. What I would get from the NVC and what I should get from the Embassy lol. I guess they get all types of questions that she just had it memorized and starting given me the responses she gives out all day lol

No, we intentionally chose end of August as I needed to plan travel (I'll be with my fiance at the interview) and still need some time to gather everything for P3. Less stress overall ☺️

I just got off the phone, the NVC told met they received my file today! 😁😁😁😁😁 They haven't assigned a case nr yet though and told me that issuing one could take UP TO 8 WEEKS. But I will keep haunting them 😇
