Why would you be worried. We have said over and over don't compare your case status with anyone else because each case is different, each applicants background is different, each application is different so if everything is different and you are seeing different results then why would you believe you should be worried. Relax, most cases go through the processing with out much fanfare. It's the mind playing games on you that you feel different emotions. Your not going to be left behind.

I sent an email to NVC using @Greenbaum's guide and got what looked like a standard response back from NVC:

Quote

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not have a record of receiving your petition.

It can take at least six weeks for the National Visa Center (NVC) to receive an approved petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and enter it in the U.S. Department of State's database system. If it has been less than six weeks since USCIS approved your petition, you don't need to take any action at this point.

If USCIS approved your petition more than six weeks ago, please send us a scanned copy of your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action - Approval Notice. You can attach the scanned copy to an email, and send it tonvcresearch@state.gov.

In the subject line of your email, please type the original receipt number from your I-130 Approval Notice. If you have more than one petition, send a separate email for each petition. Once we receive the copy of your approval notice, we will contact USCIS to find your petition.

Our NOA2 approval was 6/20/19 and we have another 1.5 weeks before the 6 week point.  I'll also tried this morning to check our status by going to NY Dept of State Visa Status Check Page but they showed nothing in their system as well.

How were other's able to get the NVC to add their email address for notification purposes?

By sending in the inquiry,  you get that response if in fact your case is not at NVC yet, but they have your address if that is their reply to you.

I've got an account on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do?appReceiptNum=WAC1990....... and https://my.uscis.gov/account, but those only say that petition was approve and received by USCIS.

Is there an option to create an online account with NVC, since now I have been waiting for my petition to be received by the NVC

I only found this:  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/about-us/mytravelgov.html , but it doesn't seem to be for the purpose of a K-1 visa.

NOAC2 was 21st June and I called the NVC last Wednesday and they were only able to tell me they hadn't received it yet.

I guess I'm just way too impatient 😬

I also submitted our email addresses per the guide but never received anything. So I ended up updating it with them over the phone one of the times I called. I gave them both emails and they still sent everything to me (petitioner), even the P3 from the embassy was sent to me only, not my fiance. Just goes to show no two experiences are alike and mileage will definitely vary.

Have you been calling to check if your case is at NVC? Did you submit the inquiry?

I did submit the inquiry and they actually got back to me last week saying that they will notify me when they forward our case to the Embassy. This is good right? That means they actually received our application?

Direct from the PDF on the first page first post.

1. How do I update my email address with NVC Once you receive your NOA2 approval then contact NVC via https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to update your email address as well as your beneficiary's email address. This will give you an email alert when your file arrives at NVC, your case is assigned and when the file leaves for your Embassy. Enter the petitioner's information as well as the beneficiary's in the "empty box". Full name, Date of Birth, (use DD/MONTH/YYYY, i.e., 08/April/2019 for the DOB field) NOA2 receipt number and WAC number. We have found in some cases that email's are never sent and in other cases this works well. So, your mileage may vary.

That's probably my case then 😐 Well, my question about the NVC online account was jus tto make sure there was no other option...but okay, I guess if there was one, you would have mentioned it already ;) Sorry about asking the same questions over and over again😳

To properly address this issue it would be my aim to present any and all options. We have not been presented with any additional or new options so the PDF remains accurate. Goid luck on your visa journey .

Hey @Greenbaum

So tomorrow is shipping day and since you've been around here for so long I was wondering if you've send any trend on which cases get sent out on Wednesdays or Thursdays or which ones don't even get shipped out and have to wait until the new shipment date?

Just wanting to play devil's advocate lol.
