How long can we delay applying for Green Card?

Being married only counts for K-1 after that is does not count for special privileges.

Marriage to a US citizen does not confer any immigration privilege in and of itself.

Not trying to scare you but here's the thread on a member that was jailed and they filed 13 days after the I-94. It can happen so be careful.

They can deport her after 90 days IF you do not make the required moves to start the green card process and she becomes "out of status". You have come to the right place to get the advice and help that you need. There are no advantages to delaying filing for adjustment of status...none.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
