My husband didn’t frontload at both the USCIS and NVC stage. He only sent documents that were requested (civil documents). No pictures or whatsapp messages to prove bonafide relationship. Will this affect me in anyway at the interview?

Documents that we have to prove a bonafide relationship:

1. Marriage Certificate

2. Joint savings account since 2016

3. Money remittances  2013 to date

4. Whatsapp messages from 2014.

5. Facebook messages from 2013.

6. Pictures since 2013 and wedding pictures.

Do we need more? What should we add or do so we wouldn’t get denied (Because my heart cannot take that. Lol)

My interview will be at the Ghana embassy and my visa type is IR-1.

You can hope that they will look at your documents you present at interview.

I would recommend taking updated evidence from when you submitted until your interview. They will want to see that your carry on your relationship in chats, calls and visits if you made any. I reviewed our interview from two years ago. I listed all our evidence we submitted. Take it look. It may give you some ideas.

From personal experience, I can guarantee they will look at the evidence you bring to the interview. Our K1 was denied based on evidence submitted at the interview. My husband was also asked about photos submitted at our CR1 interview, as well as chats we submitted during the USCIS phase.

what do you mean by "frontload"? Do you mean overloading them with information to cover all areas as best as possible?

Front loading means to submit evidence upfront during the USCIS phase and again at the NVC phase. For high fraud countries like Ghana, the COs can sometimes make up their minds about your case before you even step foot in the embassy. So it’s recommended to frontload to help your case.

Remember though quality over quantity. 100 photos won’t do you any good if they are all selfies from the same day. But 10 strong photos from different trips, activities, etc. could benefit a case.

I see. I'm just trying to gather as much information I can before I send off my wife's petition. It is pretty daunting. I wish you the best in your journey.

Thank you. My husband has been in the US for about 2 years now. 😀 I just come on here to help others through the process.

I know it seems daunting, but you can do it. This site is very helpful if you follow the guides and pay attention to your particular country portal.

I’ll tell you some advice I tell others. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. That’s how you have to approach the visa process. Focus on one phase at a time, one piece of evidence at a time, and  it won’t seem as daunting.  I know it’s silly, but it definitely helped me get through the process.

We didn't send any evidence with our I-130 petition and we got an rfe for it. They specifically asked we prove our relationship is bona-fide. Once we submitted all the proof we had (photos, plane tickets, letter explaining how we met and how our relationship progressed) the I-130  was approved.
