Hi All!

Am only just started waiting on the NOA2, and naturally my mind wandered over to the next steps ahead. One of my main concerns was the I-134 form down the line, and I have been poring over the posts here but wasn't 100% sure they were applicable to my case.

My fiance's income meets the 125% requirement stated, but he only started earning this income mid-way through 2018. This meant that his W2 from 2018 met the 100% income requirement but not the 125%.

He also only started working late 2017, so he did not have 3 year's worth of tax returns for me to present at the interview.

My question is, would an letter from his employer and past 6 months worth of pay-stubs be enough for the K1 to be approved? Or would we need to play it safe and try and get a co-sponsor instead?

I read that 100% income would be enough for the K1, but also that some consulates prefers that income made to be at 125% since an AOS will be filed anyway after marriage.

Been wondering about this since way before we filed, but never dared to ask till now. If anyone has advice that can help, it would be so greatly appreciated. 😊

Just realised I have probably posted this under the wrong category. Should be 'Process & Procedures' instead of 'Filing and Progress Reports'.

So sorry! Is there anyone who can help me move this to/edit the category?

Thanks 😅
