Hi! I hope someone could help us out. We received our NOA 2 last May 5, 2019 then just last week my fiance called NVC and gave us our case number but with forums, blogs and videos I researched it just takes 2 weeks tops for NVC to send to the embassy but for us it’s been going 4 weeks and whenever we check it on ceac.state.gov it’s still in NVC 🤔 should we worried by now why it’s taking so long? Should we call NVC to ask? We’re just worried cause days are passing and we don’t want to rush things during the deadline they gave to finish things within 4 months.

Thanks!

It really is anyone's guess when your unknown visa will arrive at the unknown consulate. Everything these days seems to have protracted wait times. The good thing is that the a consular officer can and usually extend the expiration date of approved visa applications if it expires before visa processing has been completed.

Earlier, I said unknown visa and unknown consulate because your timeline is vacant. To enable other visa members to give you accurate answers requires you to provide some specific information. :time: It helps everyone that uses the forum. It also helps make the VJ stats more relevant for all concerned members.

Hope that you hear good news from NVC within a couple of weeks.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

While I was waiting for my embassy to send me documents I took initiative and just went online and scheduled my own interview. If your case is ready for interview and there is such option with your embassy, it may work for you as well...

Once NVC assigns the case number you will go in their next shipment to the embassies. About 6 months ago they changed the system from every day to every other week. You can read more about this and many of the things that will help you if you were to join this thread and download the PDF from the first post. It contains tips, tricks and hacks to follow your case between NOA2 to NVC to Embassy.  BTW the next shipment is next week on Tuesday and Wednesday so keep following CEAC and your status will be updated with "in transit". Join us here for more insight:

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Thank you everyone who replied. It got us worried but eventually after few days since I posted this, we got the ‘In Transit’ it’s already ready and in the embassy as of now. Thank you so much for taking time to reply for my concerns ☺️ This website is so helpful in so many ways!

Hi!! Yeah it took us 30 days since we got our case into ‘In Transit’ it’s already in the embassy and our case right now is written ‘Ready’ as your username says it looks like you’re in Dubai too. We’re just waiting for the go signal email from the US embassy in Abu Dhabi that we can schedule my interview and my medical but since it’s a week long holiday, we’ll surely going to get the email next week.

If your visa is still at NVC just be patient. It took us 30 days so if it exceeds by 30 days then might as well call them? 🤔
