Hi Vj

My fiancé and I filed for the K1 visa and we got our NOA2 last week but we are worried about this, especially I the beneficiary

we met on skout, he(USC) actually messaged me first and we started talking but won’t the consular officer think or assume I was looking for American men just to get a visa?

it was a coincidence really because I applied for the USA F1 student visa almost two years ago and was refused.

coupled with my country being a high fraud country Nigeria and my previous visa attempt( I had not met him when I applied to study in the US)

I am really worried, it was actually a coincidence as I wasn’t on skout to meet Americans, just to meet regular people but it just happened that he saw my profile and took interest in me.

we are three years apart and he’s the older one

We both blacks and Same religion, no red flags

Doubtful. How do you think most people meet? Online naturally. Being same age basically, same religion, those are good things As for high fraud country, this can be overcome with ample face time in person together. So the more the better.

I met my husband on skout also back in 2015, im the USC. I was going on vacation to his country, n i started browsing the men i just basically looking for someone to show me around/just for entertainment. I saw his profile, well actually before him i tried talking to others but none spoke english. Then my now husband responded a few days later to a message i left him , i ask if he spoke english he said yes. I told him i was going to his country n would possibly like to meet up n hang out. He said ok. We chatted every day til i got there(about a month) we met my travel group met him. He had brought a few friends. It was just a wonderful time. After they left that evening. I knew... i just knew he was gonna be my husband one day. It was love at first sight. And i wasnt even looking for love, or a husband. But i found both that day. Anyway... just hearing u mention skout brought back those memories. That was the last time he n i was on there. We are at NVC stage waiting for interview letter. So far nothing about "skout" has come up during this process. I did write a letter in my I130 explaining how we met on Skout. But if they ask at interview i will let you know. Best of luck to you !

Oh and i forgot to mention, my husband was a prior GC holder and had lived in the US for 2 yrs. And went back to his country. So.. hopefully they dont think he jus want a visa. But we have spent so much time together, been on vacations, theres not a day we dont talk. I visit almost every month since the day we met. I have over 40 passport stamps, millions of pictures. So.. again ill let u know!
