Hello, our case is in AP due to needing a joint sponsor. Documents was submitted in 3 weeks ago. On Monday my husband received a call from the embassy asking why we didn't list his prior supervisor's name then he proceeded to ask my husband about who i was to time and where did i live. My husband gave him the information and the person told him he should come in on Today at 8am for a 2nd interview also to let me know they will be calling me as well to interview me. My husband showed up for the interview today only to find his name not on the list. We checked on CEAC and seen our case updated for today but still in AP. This was quite weird. Why would the embassy call and have him come in but not down to be interviewed and our case was updated minutes after he was turned away from the door. Have anyone experienced this before?

I know our case have to be actively viewed because it has been updated 4x since our interview.

Perhaps it wasn't really the embassy who called......It is rare that you would be called in for an interview...very rare.

i would say bogus caller who knew you were doing this process and wanted information either to scam or harass or gossip

if the person can not really identify himself and /or the number does not show as from immigration or embassy or US government ,  no one should believe it

we all know you need a paper to show you can enter embassy so if someone calls and you think it is real , ask for a document to enter embassy sent to your email ID

Yea it has happened before, people calling for information pretending to be the embassy or a representative. Don't buy into those things.

that was because it was a bogus call

like i said before we get these calls daily asking for personal and private information and saying police have an arrest warrant or it is IRS or i owe money (and i don't as all bills are paid on time)   when you come only give out your new US number to family and only to FRIENDS YOU CAN REALLY TRUST

and learn to ignore  these calls  / the embassy number would show up on your caller ID saying US consulate or government Number

never tell them a birth date or SS number (when you come) or any other personal information

good example is a woman got a call saying come to school and pick up a sick kid and she hung up and went immediately without calling the school back to check

at the school she found out there was nothing wrong with her daughter

when she got home her house had been robbed

watch out for calls that sound funny and be careful of what you put on facebook

We received another call this morning asking why my husband didn't show up for the interview. My husband explained that he did however his name was not on the list. The CO apologized for the error in the system and scheduled him for a new interview date and this time we also received an email confirmation.

The call was actually the embassy, thank God.

Sorry that there seems to be some confusion however, the email was the interview letter, just as they had sent it for our 1st interview. The email has to be printed and shown at the consular services entrance at the embassy.
