I will write in more detail overt the weekend but the short story is I am now a CITIZEN of the USA.

OMG, it's hard to believe. I had the oath ceremony in Manhattan today (Federal Plaza) and it is such a relief to finally be finished with this process. I felt like this day was never going to arrive.

I'll be sticking around this forum to provide moral support to those who are still waiting as I know how painful it is!

Awesome news!! You've been an amazing asset to this forum. Thank you so much for your contribution and enjoy your new passport (well, you know, when travel becomes a thing again...)

Stay safe when traveling! Do you think the whole coronavirus situation will affect the process if I am still waiting for my interview? I applied last 9/4 and am expecting to receive the notice of interview the next two months ....

Thank you! Though in regards to travel, I think a domestic and international travel ban is probably not too far away.

Realistically I do think there will be some impact on interviews and oath ceremonies, at least in the short-term. USCIS published some info yesterday which alludes to that new reality:

Thank you! It’s just a difficult time for everyone. I don’t see the NYC office in the closing list so hopefully they are still working...just slower.

So far so good for three NYC field offices.

I saw that Albany NY was closed today.

Yes I meant the Manhattan office seems fine for now .... I live in Manhattan. Sigh I am stuck at home two young kids and don’t even know if I should optimistically schedule their oversea summer camps. Just to vent ....

Hmm I wonder if they consider me getting my passport stamped an emergency. I had an infopass appointment next week. I certainly hope they reopen for my interview mid April. For two reasons 1. It would mean this virus is under some sort of control 2. The obvious, I want my interview.
