Yes, i basically received the notification in under 9 months... not bad at all.

On my uscis website, it still says case pending. ECT july... nothing changed. Also i did not receive any email or text notifications....

The estimated case completion won't change for now (mine still says June 2020 and my oath ceremony is this month).

You should see the letter in the myuscis account within 24 hours.

I’m so happy for all of you but all it’s telling me is this is a massively long wait. I’ll be happy when I start seeing people getting interviews in December and January.

@Thegirl Did you file in Queens originally or they just transferred yours to Queens? Looks like it took about 7 months for you to get interview notice which isn’t bad.

I live in the Bronx. In November I got a notice saying my case was transferred. I did an enquiry a few days ago to ask where to and they said Queens.

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015

  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

Thank you. I'm in the Bronx as well. This is giving me hope but it's weird that they transferred your case to queens when you did nor move. When did you file?

July 23, 2019. I751 pending. 3year rule

When I went on the USCIS website they had a notice about transferring cases. But when I searched for my zipcode it did come up at Queens. If you're in the Bronx it seems you can either be Queens or NY NY field office depending on your zipcode.

I don’t think the timing of the interview notice was coincidental!

i just pulled up my case in the MyUSCIS file and there is no more Estimated date or final completion date. Just the date of my last interaction with them. Is this a bug that others are seeing too? Or something ominous?

It’s gone for everyone it seems!

Just wanted to give an update on my N-400/I-751 combo interview at the New York Manhattan field office on March 4th. I applied for my N-400 in April 2019 and I-751 in April 2018.

My interview was at 9:25am - went with my husband just in case they'll do a combo interview. Waited for about an hour and the officer came and called out my number. We went up together, but the officer immediately told us that he is not going to conduct a combo interview and that this interview is only for the N-400. We were disappointed, but said fine. My husband stayed in the waiting area.

When I first went into his room, he asked for all of my documentation - my passport, GC, and driver's license/state ID. He had me do an oath to tell the truth, and then we had some small talk about how my I-751 has been pending for a long time (since April 2018). He then asked me for all of the evidence that I brought with me to show our 3-year marriage requirement, including tax returns, leases, bank accounts, health insurance, pictures, etc. I ended up giving him everything that I brought, which I think was well over 100 pages. Not sure how he had a change of mind, but the officer said that he'll actually adjudicate both I-751 and N-400. He mentioned how he saw that my husband was with me and it seems like I've been waiting for a while, so maybe those were the reasons why he changed his mind. Then we proceeded to the N-400 interview portion, where he asked me the 6 civic questions, English reading and writing test, and then asked me the Yes/No questions. He verified some details of the application with me (change in jobs, address, travel history, etc.) and then had me sign the things he made changes to.

After all of that, he gave me the N-652 and told me that he'll approve both I-751 and N-400. But in the N-652, it says that I passed the tests, but that a decision cannot be made. He told me (if I remember correctly now) that it will take about a week or two to approve everything, and that afterwards, it will take 3-4 weeks to get the oath ceremony schedule.

It's been 2 days, and i'm still waiting for the approval online, but I'm thankful that I was able to do a combo interview and that the officer changed his mind mid-way through.

My question for everyone though is - if you had a combo interview, how long did it take you to get that approval/oath ceremony letter?

Slightly different situation, but I had my N-400 interview in NYC (Brooklyn field office) on Feb 13. The officer said they couldn't adjudicate I-751 as the file was in Vermont, but they did take evidence and ask questions about the marriage, so sort of a combo interview. I got notification yesterday that the I-751 has been approved, so exactly 3 weeks after the interview.

No notification on the N-400 yet, but I'd assume that will also change soon.

Maybe in this type of situation the IO sends a message to Vermont to say that the N400 has been completed...as a prompt for them to complete the I-751? Presumably there is then communication back to the IO (or the field office), that the I-751 has now been adjudicated and the N400 can move forward. Seems so cumbersome!

Yes, either that, or the file gets sent down from Vermont to the case officer.

Either way, I'm glad there's movement, and also glad that I'll have a green-card to hand-in at the oath ceremony, as I had read about problems for some people who didn't have one.

If you don't mind, when did you file in Brooklyn? I'm in the Bronx but could potentially move to BK soon. I'm trying to understand what the average timeline is for BK.
