That's good news but 10-11 months is a very long time. Congrats, surely it'll be sometime next month.

It's actually "'FAST" compared with how things were going about 6 months back for folks in Manhattan/Bronx - people were waiting 11-13 months, was a real mess.

Thanks - it's a long journey...

I filed earlier this month, did my biometrics yesterday downtown. I think I got there and did it in less than 3 minutes. Right now, I'm looking at September 2020 and I live in The Bronx. I hope it'll go faster than that.

My estimated case completion has fluctuated between Feb-April 2020. It's been March 2020 for a while now and that looks like it's about right.

I do wonder, I'm new here so maybe you or someone else can reply. Have you seen any post where someone moved states, transferred their case and it got processed faster?

I am considering contacting USCIS and ask them to transfer my case but I don't know if it will take double the time to both transfer and process the case in another city.

To be able to transfer a case I am pretty sure you have to live in the district of that field office for 3 months before they will accept it as their case. So it really depends on the average processing time of the field office in the area you are thinking of moving too. If for example it takes about 6 months to get an interview in that office, you wouldn't really gain much by moving because you'd wait 3 months before they even inherited the case. Well, that's my basic understanding of the scenario and I could be mistaken .

No, it makes a lot of sense. I didn't think about it that way but I know you have to live in that district for 90 days to be considered a resident. I do plan to change my domicile to Virginia Beach but that processing time there is about 8 months. I'll just be patient, I guess.

I think I’m still in shock but today received the “you’ve been scheduled for an interview” email 🤭

Don’t know the date yet / letter pending

But it seems there has been some improvement in the pace for Manhattan filers - interviews now taking place about 10-11 months after filing. I filed in April 2019 and will likely have interview toward end of February which is about 10 months.

So happy for you!

Hey guys, I'm from The Bronx have been following but haven't posted. I will post my timeline below but I am honestly thinking of requesting that they transfer my application down to Norfolk field office. Right now mine says 7 months which should be July, or the very least August 2020 but it says September 2020 lol.

My second home is Virginia Beach and my wife is stationed there in the Navy. I was I was eligible for expedited military filing but unfortunately I'm not.

Filed N400 01/04/2020 online

Bio Notice: 01/10/2020

Walk- in: Yesterday 01/15/2020

Estimate: September 2020

By the way, the 7 months at the bottom of your profile refers to the “wait time” to receive notice about the interview. So based on that, September for case completion  makes sense. But be prepared for ups and downs along the way while you wait!

I am curious. If you file 90 day early, do they just wait until the 3-year or 5- year before they gain processing your case?

I'm an early filer but I don't believe they will begin processing my case until April 1st. Do I have that correct?

The 90 day piece isn't really relevant in this instance as your interview is going to take place a long time after that. Your priority date (the date your applied) is the date from which you can estimate the interview time - about 10 to 11 months currently for people in Manahttan/Bronx.
