the date only changed after i did the biometrics. Otherwise, it's drawn down, but a-pace with time passing

OK. Was just checking to see if it changed again mid month, like mine did. In fact, my "estimated wait time" changed 3 times this month:

- went from 3 months to 2 months at the start of the month (as per the normal schedule)

- then a week thereafter it changed from 2 months to 31 days....and started going down by the days

- then this week it changed again to 3 months :(

So in my case the "estimated case completion" time and the "estimated wait time" are now both 3 months which is confusing....

There are 30,000 people from Manhattan/Bronx with outstanding N400 cases. Where are those people? I never understand why so few people from Manhattan/Bronx participate in this forum.....

I participate but for the most part the forums are stressful because it's a lot of people stalking their cases and stressing out. I don't understand how people know their case completion changes a few times in a day/week! There's nothing for me to add. Except to join in the "why is everything taking so long" rhetoric.

I filed end of July, did biometrics a week later and I got an update in November that my case was transferred. No update about

where to or why.

Hey Everyone,

Keeping an eye on this thread as we just filed for my Husband's application online.

We're in Queens, so more than likely will end up being directed to the NYC field office at the Javit's Center so will let you know how it goes.

Good luck to everyone still waiting :)

The three field offices for NYC are all located in the same building in Manhattan:

- Brooklyn field office

- Queens field office

- New York City field office  (for Manhattan and the Bronx)

Of the three, the Queens office is the fastest so you’re in luck.

Some members from the Bronx and western Manhattan have had their cases transferred to Newark but that was after waiting a long time already (10-12 months). It’s different that your case has been transferred this “early” in the process so I’m not sure what that is about!

When I find out I'll post an update! They said there should be a letter in my documents tab but as of now, nothing.

Mine says:

Estimated case completion: March 2020 (3 months)

Estimated waiting time: 3 months

As is the case for you as well, my estimated case completion time and estimated waiting time are the same (which is confusing as the waiting time for the next item should be less than the estimated case completion date).

I applied April 2019, Manhattan resident.

Hey guys, I'm from The Bronx have been following but haven't posted. I will post my timeline below but I am honestly thinking of requesting that they transfer my application down to Norfolk field office. Right now mine says 7 months which should be July, or the very least August 2020 but it says September 2020 lol.

My second home is Virginia Beach and my wife is stationed there in the Navy. I was I was eligible for expedited military filing but unfortunately I'm not.

Filed N400 01/04/2020 online

Bio Notice: 01/10/2020

Walk- in: Yesterday 01/15/2020

Estimate: September 2020

I think I’m still in shock but today received the “you’ve been scheduled for an interview” email 🤭

Don’t know the date yet / letter pending

But it seems there has been some improvement in the pace for Manhattan filers - interviews now taking place about 10-11 months after filing. I filed in April 2019 and will likely have interview toward end of February which is about 10 months.
